Junior Consultant – Climate Change, Hydrology & HydraulicsWe invite you to bring your skills and enthusiasm to deliver high-quality environmental consultancy in an open, collaborative and empowering culture.We work to create a sustainable future through inspiring projects and innovative solutions that set the standard among our peers.You will join a global company that has been growing since ****, where together we lead and leave a positive impact on societies, companies and people.You will be based in our Milan office within our Environment & Health division, collaborating across a multidisciplinary, international network.About The RoleWe are seeking a Junior Consultant with at least 3 years' experience to contribute primarily to Climate Change projects—covering governance, climate risk assessment and decarbonisation strategies—and additionally support projects in Hydrology & Hydraulics, including hydrological and hydraulic modelling, flood risk and drainage studies.You will work alongside engineers, geologists, economists, environmental scientists, chemists and biologists on a diverse portfolio of assignments for top-tier clients.Key ResponsibilitiesClimate ChangeConduct in-depth assessments and evaluations of clients' climate-related governance practices, identifying strengths and areas for improvementProvide strategic recommendations to enhance climate strategy, risk management and broader sustainability practicesReview of carbon accounting reporting across Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissionsPerform climate hazard screening, climate risk and vulnerability assessments, and develop adaptation plansDraft expert reports for climate and sustainability-related litigation projectsPrepare proposals and reporting in both Italian and EnglishHydrology & HydraulicsHydrological and hydraulic modelling for catchments, urban drainage networks and watercoursesSupport urban drainage, flood risk management and, where relevant, fluvial/coastal hydraulics studiesIntegrate modelling outputs with climate risk assessments and adaptation planning, translating insights into resilient technical solutionsContribute to technical deliverables, ensuring quality assurance/quality control and transparent documentation of assumptionsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams (water, infrastructure, planning) to define efficient and sustainable solutionsDraft expert technical reports for flood risk assessmentPrepare proposals and reporting in both Italian and EnglishQualifications and ExperienceMaster's degree in environmental or water resources engineering or other related disciplineAt least 3 years' proven experience in climate governance and climate risk assessment or hydrology/hydraulic engineering/consultancy, or PhD in hydrology/hydraulic engineering matters or climate change impacts assessmentFamiliarity with international sustainability and climate-related regulations, frameworks and standards (e.g., GRI, TCFD, GHG Protocol, ESRS)Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insightsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and EnglishProficiency with hydrological/hydraulic modelling tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, MIKE/MIKE+), statistical software (R, SPSS, Pro UCL) and programming languages (Python, Matlab, Visual C#); experience with GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS)Detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and effective in team-oriented environmentsPersonal QualitiesHighly organized and able to work efficiently and effectively to deadlines on designated tasks; demonstrated attention to details and a high level of accuracy; academic rigor; self-motivated, reliable and dedicated individual.How to ApplyApply online and attach your CV, cover letter and relevant documents, indicating why you are the right fit and your availability to start.Deadline: **********Employment DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Consulting#J-*****-Ljbffr
