OverviewVenlo, Netherlands.Pentair Industrial Solutions Business Unit is experiencing significant growth.One of Pentair's strategic growth pillars is the biogas area.Projects will be engineered and produced at Pentair sites or at an approved supplier.Pentair - Sustainable Gas Solutions (SGS) specializes in CO2 recovery solutions and biogas upgrading.Pentair helps its clients lower their carbon footprint and energy bills, serving customers in more than 150 countries worldwide.We are looking for a candidate for the role described below.Lead Plant Design EngineerLocation: Venlo, Netherlands.The Lead Plant Design Engineer collaborates with Plant Design Engineers, Designers, and the Plant Design Department to ensure good quality and timely completion of engineering work.The role plans and reviews work, ensuring deliverables fit within projects, department guidelines, and Pentair norms, and coordinates with other department leads and the Project Manager.The Lead Plant Design Engineer assists with sizing and design of components, structures, equipment and systems required for the project.Reports to the Engineering Team Leader Venlo.Objectives of the positionThe Lead Plant Design Engineer ensures good quality and timely completion of the engineering together with the Plant Design Engineers and Designers and the remainder of the Plant Design Department.The Lead Plant Design Engineer plans and reviews the work delivered by the Plant Design Engineers and Designers, ensuring deliverables fit within projects, departments, and Pentair's guidelines and norms, including cooperation with other department leads and the Project Manager.The Lead Plant Design Engineer assists with sizing and design of components, structures, equipment and systems required for the project.Main ResponsibilitiesOrder management: Active takeover of orders from sales & technology; responsibility for safe design, quality of engineering, on-time delivery and cost; check of sub-assembly budgets; tracking total mechanical engineering costs; involvement in drafting contracts with suppliers; scheduling and controlling of mechanical engineering work packages, including management of external resources; management of project opportunities and risks with resulting measures.Machine / Component dimensioning: Ensure correct design of frames, skids, components and assemblies (static and dynamic considerations, stiffness of steel structures, performance calculations) by internal or external resources; static and dynamic supports for major piping/components.Design solutions: Develop plant design solutions based on the product portfolio; ensure implementation complies with laws and standards and installation regulations; create solution drafts for detailing, considering functional, material, manufacturing, HSE and economic aspects; evaluate against existing designs; select/design key components.Communication & exchange of information: Coordinate design with process engineering & automation, supply chain and assembly, field assembly and commissioning; represent project internally and externally; report on progress; document agreements reached.Documentation & risk assessments: Prepare general installation / maintenance guidelines; support hazard analyses for individual machines and the interlinked complete plant.Qualifications and CompetencesMechanical Engineering – university of applied sciences or equivalent apprenticeship with relevant further training and experience.Knowledge of tools such as:3D CAD Software – Inventor (preferred), Creo, SolidWorksPiping design software – Bentley Plant 3D, Autodesk Plant 3D (preferred), others2D CAD Software – AutoCADPDM Software – Autodesk Vault (preferred), PTC Windchill, SolidWorks PLMPLM Software, ERP Software, MS Office, Special Calculation Tools5 years of experience minimum as Mechanical Engineer.Experience working in a project team.Knowledge of relevant guidelines and norms.Advanced level in English.Independent, proactive, flexible and resilient under stress.Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.Creative in finding solutions with a strong commitment to quality.Good communication skills.Analytical mindset and ability to adapt to complex processes.Willingness to work in an international team environment.We offerThe opportunity to work in a dynamic, internationally oriented company with a pleasant atmosphere, interesting career prospects and excellent working conditions.You can rely on us to motivate, challenge and allow you freedom so that you will enjoy coming to work every day.We also offer professional internal training courses for your further development and growth.Equal Opportunity EmployerPentair is an Equal Opportunity Employer.With our expanding global presence, cross-cultural insight and competence are essential for our ongoing success.We believe that a diverse workforce contributes different perspectives and creative ideas that enable us to continue to improve every day.#J-*****-Ljbffr
