Sr.Hardware Development Engineer, Bespoke Solutions Job ID: ******* | Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc.Join AWS as a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to architect and lead the development of next-generation cloud infrastructure hardware.Drive innovation in complex PCBA designs utilizing cutting-edge FPGA SoCs, working with world-class engineers in our dedicated product development lab in Northern Virginia.Amazon will invest $2.5 billion to occupy 4 million square feet of energy-efficient office space and create at least 25,000 new full-time jobs.Associated investments include infrastructure updates, public transportation improvements, and new access to Reagan National Airport.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and lead development of complex PCB designs incorporating FPGA SoCs.Drive system-level hardware architecture decisions and technical requirements.Lead new product introduction (NPI) processes with contract manufacturers.Develop and validate high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuits.Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC compliance, thermal, and signal integrity requirements.Partner with FPGA/firmware teams to define hardware interfaces and requirements.Lead design reviews and drive technical consensus across multiple teams.Mentor junior engineers and establish hardware engineering best practices.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.10+ years of hardware engineering experience.Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stack-up and circuit board layout.Experience with DFx (Design for cost, test, manufacturing).Experience with FPGA SoC hardware integration, hardware validation and debugging.Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Secret or above.Preferred QualificationsExperience with AMD/Intel FPGA SoC platforms.Expertise in signal integrity and power integrity analysis and PCB design tools (Allegro, Altium, or similar).Experience with high-volume manufacturing and NPI processes.Experience with industry standards (PCIe, DDR, SERDES, etc.).Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.Security ClearanceThis role requires that the selected candidate is a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Secret security clearance.After start, the selected candidate must obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.Team and CultureWe encourage candidates to apply regardless of the traditional path.AWS celebrates diverse experiences and offers mentorship, learning opportunities, and a culture of inclusion.Work/life balance is valued and flexibility is part of our culture.Equal Opportunity EmployerAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, please visit for more information.Posted: December 9, **** (Updated 7 days ago)#J-*****-Ljbffr
