Commis de Rang – Part-Time (Season ****) – TaorminaJoin to apply for the (PART TIME) Commis de Rang - Season **** - Taormina role at San Domenico Palace, Taormina, a Four Seasons Hotel .About the RoleReporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service and attention to our guests.As a Commis de Rang you will prepare the dining venues and equipment, food pass and service area of your assigned station in the restaurant, ensuring guests receive courteous, engaging, prompt and efficient service.You will assist the Chef de Rang in the serving of food, attend guest needs and requests, be highly visible in the operation, provide an expertly service experience, clear and reset tables according to standards and respect the hygiene standards applied in the restaurant as per HACCP system.You will communicate guest orders to the Chef de Rang, serve food items and beverages, take care of any special requests, anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, assist with restaurant inventory, take care of the breakdown, cleaning and setting-up of tables and work stations.What You Will DoDescribe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests.Communicate guest orders, including any special needs or requests, to the kitchen using the hotel's point-of-sales system; coordinate food timings; check completed kitchen orders with the guest's original order; transport items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.Breakdown, clean and set-up tables, buffets, and food stations.Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.What You BringHigh school education or equivalent experience.Minimum two years of food service or related work; experience in luxury hotels and/or stand-alone fine dining restaurants or restaurant groups, preferably in the same position.International experience would represent an asset.Ability to carry and balance a tray.Attention to detail, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, ability to multitask with excellent organizational skills, team player, and bring personal touch and energy to guest experiences.What We OfferCompetitive salary, wages, and a comprehensive benefits package.Excellent training and development opportunities.Complimentary dry cleaning for employee uniforms.Meals available at our employee restaurant.Employee experience initiatives: from annual themed employee party to many ESG events throughout the year.Employee recognition programs.Opportunities to build a successful career with global potential.Schedule & HoursPart-time position (25 hours per week).Candidate must have a flexible schedule and work also on weekends and holidays.LocationPerched on a rocky promontory high above the Ionian Sea, the iconic San Domenico Palace welcomes you to a 14th-century convent reimagined.Swim in our clifftop infinity pool, stroll in magnificent Italian gardens, soak in the history, savour Michelin-starred dining and escape into a Four Seasons world of timeless beauty.Employment TypePart-timeSeniority LevelNot applicableJob FunctionCustomer ServiceMust possess the legal right to work in Italy.This position is based at the San Domenico Palace in Taormina and is seasonal.#J-*****-Ljbffr
