Lead Engineer – NTI/NPI Manifold, Distribution, and ConnectionAt Baker Hughes, we drive technical delivery of subsea power and control systems for offshore energy projects and own the design and execution of complex subsea distribution technologies.This role is part of the Subsea Engineering division, where we apply cutting-edge technologies and robust engineering principles to transform offshore energy operations.The Lead Engineer – NTI/NPI Manifold, Distribution, and Connection is responsible for the design and development of subsea products covering manifold structures and foundations, piping systems, distribution equipment and subsea connection systems.ResponsibilitiesEstablish technical requirements based on customer functional specifications and project needs in compliance with international codes and standards.Lead and contribute to design development activities such as CAD modelling and/or FE assessments, documents creation and review, ensuring alignment with requirements and schedule.Work cross-functionally with other teams and departments to align interfaces, design activities and deliverables.Present design outcomes in design reviews when relevant.Manage engineering suppliers on technical aspects, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with technical contractual requirements.Provide engineering support to program management, planning, quality and other stakeholders.Support the sourcing team through procurement, manufacturing and testing of designed products.Provide consultancy advice to engineering tender teams to correctly identify and select the portfolio products that best suit the tender specifications.QualificationsMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Expertise in 3D CAD modelling and/or FEA.Subsea equipment knowledge and relevant design methodologies (desired).Robust mechanical design background.Proactive and ownership mindset.Strong oral and written communication skills, fluent in English.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Work in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different.Flexibility is available but we also value teams co-located in our office in Florence, Italy.Company OverviewWe are an energy technology company providing solutions to energy and industrial customers worldwide.Built on a century of experience and operating in over 120 countries, our innovative technologies and services take energy forward – making it safer, cleaner and more efficient for people and the planet.Equal Opportunity EmployerBaker Hughes Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by law.Reference ID: R#J-*****-Ljbffr
