include hardware design and development; building the systems that validate hardware quality in manufacturing; monitoring and improving hardware reliability in data centers and platform.We cover perspective.About the teamWithin AWS Board Core Design & Services team, our organization is responsible for system innovation in the servers used by all of Amazon Web Services.Beyond product delivery we actively manage the fleet of Servers in the data center that keeps growing.This means tracking key business and operational metrics to ensure that we operate smoothly and minimize or eliminate engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent- 5+ years of hardware engineering experience- Experience collaborating with the ECAD/physical board designer and able to review PCB designs with Allegro, CAM350, or equivalent- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures- 7+ years of experience with I2C, SPI, UART interfaces- Experience interfacing with thermal, mechanical, firmware and software teams during product developmentPreferred Qualifications- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent- Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layout- Experience in server technologies such as, thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity- Experience developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components based on design intent and approved equipment submissions- Experience identifying and resolving complex issues- Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability- Experience in designing and developing large-scale services working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production- 10+ years of experience in server design for cloud or enterprise applications- Experience in designing for reuse across multiple products- Strong organizational and planning skill- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment- Excellent written (white papers) and oral communication skills- Experience with the management of technical programs a plus- Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role- Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this roleLos Angeles County ApplicantsJob
