O&M Engineer

OverviewVollzeit, Milano, EngineeringYou will be an O&M Engineer responsible for the evaluation and execution of engineering activities for revamping and repowering projects on both ground-mounted and roof-top PV plants.Your role will be fundamental to evaluate the engineering characteristics of revamping/repowering projects, define and design the technical solution, and oversee the project execution from engineering perspective from pre-sales/budgeting until final commissioning and production of the as-built.Activities focus on revamping and repowering opportunities; depending on experience and seniority, other engineering tasks in the area of EPC/PV construction and related activities may be required to support the company's growth in the renewable energy sector.ResponsibilitiesAnalyse performance and conditions of existing assets to propose potential improvementsSupport the selection of the most appropriate photovoltaic technologiesSupport the pre-sales phase, preparing technical proposals, scope of supplies and budgetsImplement the design of PV systems, carrying out technical reports, drawings, electrical schemes, BOM and calculations, ensuring that deliverables are delivered on time according to the contractsOversee external engineering activitiesPrepare or review technical specifications and supplier documents to enable procurement of equipment and materials (solar panels, inverters, electrical panels, support structures, storage systems, etc.) in compliance with the project designFollow up the procurement of equipment and services to ensure that the specifications and the project time schedule are metProvide technical support and assistance during construction and commissioning phasesMonitor project progress from design to implementation, ensuring that technical, regulatory, and safety requirements are met and that projects are completed within established deadlines while meeting cost and quality standardsCollaborate with other company divisions, such as procurement, sales, and legal, to ensure that all technical aspects of the project are coveredQualifications & SkillsMaster's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred; Mechanical or Civil considered based on experience)Minimum 3-5 years of significant experience in an engineering role in an EPC, construction or O&M company with focus on PVKnowledge of power distribution and LV/MV electrical design/redesign for utility-scale PV sitesKnowledge of electrical norms (e.g., CEI 0-16, 64-8)Knowledge of grid connection processes and experience in connection processes for PVExcellent skills in MS OfficeGood knowledge of AutoCADKnowledge of electrical design software: EPLAN, DigSilent, Amper (nice to have)Knowledge of PV design software: PVSyst, PVCase (nice to have)Soft SkillsGood problem solving and organizational skillsProactive and target-driven attitude with attention to detail and qualityAbility to work on several projects simultaneouslyGood interpersonal skills to positively interact with clients and suppliersLanguageFluent Italian and EnglishAbout BELECTRIC / OperationsBELECTRIC is one of the world's leading EPC service providers in the development, construction and operation of solar power plants.The Germany-based company was founded in **** and has developed into an international company with around 500 employees in five countries.BELECTRIC has installed over 480 PV systems with a total output of more than 4 GW worldwide.As a large O&M service provider, we care for operation and maintenance for a capacity of more than 2.8 GW of PV plants.BELECTRIC's goal is to advance the European energy transition and to guarantee a clean energy supply for future generations.BELECTRIC is a member of Elevion Group, a leading European energy service provider in modern energy solutions that focus on sustainability and climate neutrality.BenefitsPermanent employment contractCompetitive salary; level and compensation commensurate with experienceLocation: Latina / Milano Office, ItalyOpportunities for professional training and growth#J-*****-Ljbffr
