Director – Intranasal Drug DeliveryAre you a technical leader with deep expertise in intranasal formulation, device integration, and combination product development?This is a rare opportunity to shape a global intranasal drug delivery platform within an innovative biopharma organisation driving progress in ophthalmology and CNS therapeutics.THE COMPANYThis pioneering biopharmaceutical company is committed to advancing transformative treatments in ophthalmology and neuroscience through precision drug delivery and innovative formulation science.Operating globally, the organisation combines scientific excellence, cross-functional collaboration, and state-of-the-art technology platforms to accelerate breakthrough therapies from research to market.As part of the R&D Technology division, you'll lead strategy and execution for a cutting-edge intranasal delivery platform, defining the standards, processes, and systems that will underpin multiple pipeline assets across preclinical, clinical, and commercial stages.THE ROLEAs Director of Intranasal Drug Delivery, you will lead the development and implementation of the company's global intranasal delivery strategy.This high-impact role spans early formulation design, device integration, and combination product compliance.You will serve as the scientific and technical authority for nasal drug delivery systems, driving innovation and ensuring manufacturability, performance, and regulatory alignment throughout the product lifecycle.In this role you will have the opportunity to have a tremendous impact, in a company with an exceptionally strong pipeline to which you will be key to translating into clinical and commercial success.This success will be directly due to your contributions.Key Responsibilities:Define and execute the global intranasal delivery platform strategy across ophthalmology and CNS programmes.Evaluate and optimise mechanisms of nasal-to-brain and local nasal absorption.Oversee design control, risk management, and regulatory compliance for drug–device combination products.Partner cross-functionally with CMC, Clinical Pharmacology, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure alignment and readiness for IND/IMPD submissions.ABOUT YOUYou'll excel in this role if you bring:***** years' experience in formulation, drug delivery, or combination product development, including at least 3 years in intranasal systems.Proven expertise in nasal drug delivery mechanisms, formulation stability (ICH Q1), and device integration.Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks (ISO *****, ISO *****, FDA/EMA combination product guidance).You can be based in the US or Europe for this role, it will however require occasional travel to Milan.If you're ready to lead innovation at the intersection of drug delivery, formulation science, and device technology, apply now.I look forward to hearing from you
