The BATA GROUP is one of the world's leading manufacturers and retailers of quality footwear.A global company with more than 30,000 employees, over 5,000 stores in more than 70 countries worldwide, Bata has been providing the best shoes at the best value for money, backed by unparalleled service, for more than 120 years.Since its founding in **** by Thomas Bata, the Company has consistently demonstrated its commitment to responsible and innovative business models in the belief that capital is not just money, but, above all, people, knowledge and core values.Today, Bata's pioneering principles enable the company to adapt quickly to market changes.It also continues Bata's long tradition of being sensitive to cultural and national differences and enables it to function proudly as an inclusive company in every country in which it operates.With more than 270 shops in Italy, Spain and Portugal AW LAB is a laboratory of "urban sport style" trends that offers to its customers the coolest products of the moment, suggesting and inspiring them in creating their own style.Since opening its first store in ****, with the name of Athletes World, AW LAB is part of the Bata group.AW LAB proposes a wide collection of sneakers of the most famous international sport brands and a wide range of exclusive designs created in collaboration with them.The proposal is completed by a collection of apparel and accessories of the leading sportswear brand and by two private clothing labels.DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLEThe HR Business Partner – Retail, reporting to the HR Manager Italy – Bata & AWLAB, acts as a strategic partner to the Retail organization.The purpose of the role is to be in store, across the store network, to support Area Managers and Store Managers directly on operational and people-related priorities.The HRBP Retail ensures the consistent implementation of HR initiatives, fosters a high-performance and customer-centric culture, and strengthens the link between headquarters and the retail environment.The role combines strong business acumen, hands-on HR support, and a deep understanding of daily retail dynamics.KEY CHALLENGESStrategic PartnershipAct as a trusted advisor to Retail Leadership and Area Managers, translating operational and field needs into effective HR strategies.Support the execution of the retail people strategy in alignment with corporate and global HR guidelines.Design and support organizational structures and succession plans for Area Managers and Store Managers.Lead or support change management for store transformation, openings, closures, layout changes, and restructuring.Promote a performance-driven, customer-oriented, and inclusive culture across all stores.Field HR Operations, Workforce Planning & ComplianceRegularly visit stores to assess people practices, team climate, operational challenges, and development needs.Provide hands-on, on-site HR support to Area Managers and Store Managers.Partner with Retail Operations on workforce planning (headcount, seasonal peaks, hiring needs).Monitor key KPIs (turnover, absenteeism, productivity, performance metrics) and translate insights into field actions.Ensure compliance with labor laws, internal procedures, and retail-specific regulations.Support or manage relations with unions and local labor offices when needed.Talent Acquisition, Performance & DevelopmentDrive recruitment strategies for Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, and critical retail positions.Support store onboarding and coaching programs, in collaboration with Retail Training.Lead performance management processes in the field, ensuring fair evaluation and development planning.Identify skill gaps and implement targeted training or interventions, especially through on-site visits.Strengthen employer branding within local retail markets to attract high-quality talent.CORE COMPETENCIESBachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Economics, Engineering or related fields.Minimum 3 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a Retail HRBP / Field HR / HR Generalist role in multinational retail or consumer goods environments.Strong availability to travel frequently (majority of working time spent in stores and the field).Solid understanding of store operations, customer experience drivers, staffing models, and retail KPIs.Analytical mindset and proficiency with HR dashboards and tools (Excel, PowerBI, etc.).Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills; able to influence multiple levels from Store Managers to Retail Leaders.High integrity, resilience, autonomy, and ability to work in fast-moving, high-volume environments.Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.Experience with SAP SuccessFactors is an advantage.LOCATIONPossibility of Smart Working for part of the week after an initial on-site training periodWHAT YOU WILL FIND :Friendly, Fair, Firm.COME AND JOIN US TO MAKE BATA & AWLAB STRONGER#J-*****-Ljbffr
