OverviewJob Description:We are looking for a skilledCloudera Expert Developerto join our Analytics Offering.DXC Analytics is focused on providing customers innovative solutions and high added value, in the following areas: Analytics Solutions and Services, Big Data Platforms, Information Governance, Business Intelligence & Data Management, Artificial Intelligence and IoT Analytics.ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will develop and maintain advanced data pipelines and solutions on the Cloudera/Hadoop stack, ensuring seamless integration and automation across environments through CI/CD pipelines.You will work closely with architects, data engineers, and DevOps teams to build reliable, scalable, and efficient data processing systems that empower analytics and data-driven decision-making.Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues within the Cloudera ecosystem.Contribute to continuous improvement of coding standards, development practices, and deployment automation.QualificationsStrong experience in Spark (Scala or PySpark) and Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, HDFS, Impala, Oozie, Kafka, etc.).Solid hands-on experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) or similar Big Data platforms.Proficiency with GitHub and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).Familiarity with Linux-based environments and scripting (Bash, Python).Experience in building scalable, distributed data processing systems.Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.Fluency in English, both written and spoken.Nice to HaveExperience with cloud integration (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for hybrid Cloudera deployments.Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).Exposure to data governance and security frameworks (Apache Ranger, Atlas).Understanding of data quality, lineage, and metadata management.Cloudera or Spark-related certifications.LocationRome – Hybrid Work (Smart Working Possibility)At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.Our work model prioritizes in-person collaboration while offering flexibility to support wellbeing, productivity, individual work styles, and life circumstances.We're committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.Recruitment fraud is a scheme in which fictitious job opportunities are offered to job seekers typically through online services, such as false websites, or through unsolicited emails claiming to be from the company.These emails may request recipients to provide personal information or to make payments as part of their illegitimate recruiting process.DXC does not make offers of employment via social media networks and DXC never asks for any money or payments from applicants at any point in the recruitment process, nor ask a job seeker to purchase IT or other equipment on our behalf.More information on employment scams is available here.#J-*****-Ljbffr
