The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for managing and improving supplier quality, with a particular focus on assembled mechanical components and plastic products.This role ensures that suppliers comply with quality standards, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements, working closely with engineering, purchasing, and production teams.Your ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and qualify new suppliers according to company and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO ****, IATF *****, ISO *****, ...).Monitor supplier quality performance through KPIs and periodic audits.Manage improvement plans, preventive actions, and corrective actions.Analyze quality issues on mechanical assemblies and plastic components, identifying root causes (Root Cause Analysis) and implementing solutions.Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with technical specifications and process requirements.Support the PPAP process and component validation.Prepare quality reports and technical documentation for traceability.Promote a quality culture throughout the supply chain.Your BackgroundDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent.At least 3–5 years of experience in supplier quality or process quality roles in the automotive or aerospace sectors.Knowledge of integrated Quality Management Systems (ISO ****, IATF *****, ISO ***** as a minimum).Knowledge of plastic molding processes and mechanical machining, including precision machining.Knowledge of painting processes on steel and aluminum components.Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, SPC, 8D, PPAP).Familiarity with measurement and control tools (Calipers, Micrometers, Colorimeters, 3D Scanners...).Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with suppliers and internal teams.Good command of English (written and spoken).Availability for travel within the national territory, Europe, and beyond.Quality certifications (e.g., ISO **** Auditor, IATF *****, EN ****).Experience in managing international suppliers.Knowledge of automotive or aerospace standards and regulations.Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, SAP.Analytical problem-solving, results and quality orientation, negotiation and relationship management skills complete the profile.What's in it for you?Work with the best specialists in their field, in a diverse environment with unparalleled global reach.Feel inspired by our fast growth.You will have the accountability to own your part in enabling a future of sustainable and efficient mobility.You can also count on a competitive compensation package in line with your capabilities and experience.Diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities are at the core of what we do.We celebrate different experiences and perspectives, and we aim to empower everyone in the creation of sustainable solutions for people all over the world.Our individual differences make us successful.About ABB E-MobilityABB E-mobility is a world leader in EV charging technology and a partner of choice for the world's biggest electric vehicle OEMs and nationwide EV charging network operators.With a strong R&D pipeline, our robust product portfolio of innovative holistic solutions – from grid to charge point and domestic installations to large fleet depots – means we are actively enabling the future of E-Mobility, not just predicting it.Welcome to Operations, where strategic supply chain management and operational excellence meet.Our teams focus on supply chain strategy, vendor partnerships, and KPI tracking to ensure cost-effective operations.We manage transitions to mass production and fulfill European and North American demand from our factories in San Giovanni Valdarno, Italy and Phoenix, USA whilst optimizing the global value chain.Within Operations advanced capabilities drive quality standards and continuous improvement, while HSE ensures safety and environmental compliance.Warranty management and PMO lead operational projects aligned with strategic goals.#J-*****-Ljbffr
