Financial Controller – Continental EuropeLocation: UK / Spain / Italy / PolandAbout the RoleWe're hiring a Financial Controller to manage and support our in-country Financial Controllers in Continental Europe.You will manage all financial and controlling matters for cluster entities across BSI, across all divisions and functions.You will interact with local management, local auditors and group auditors (for in-scope countries), delegate and collaborate on solving finance technical issues, and manage a team of 5 Financial Controllers across Italy, Germany, Poland and Spain.Key ResponsibilitiesOwnership and responsibility for the financial accounting and reporting of cluster entities; ensuring timely, accurate and comprehensive information to the Group and key stakeholders in accordance with the Group's Finance Manual.Simplify, streamline and lead on documentation of local process ahead of transfer to Finance Business Services.Support suggestions around sequencing of transition activity.Overall responsibility for local accounting and taxation compliance requirements.Work with GPOs to drive efficiency in processes to improve compliance within group reporting deadlines.Ensure all local tax deadlines are met for the cluster entities and are compliant with local legislation in conjunction with the group tax team.Maintain the global financial framework and resolve/control failures in conjunction with head of global financial controls and GPOs.On a monthly basis review balance sheet and cash flows for the entities under control and investigate material changes or variances.Gain a good understanding of working-capital movements.When significant accounting matters (SAM) are identified, work with the local team to prepare comprehensive accounting papers for review by the group reporting team.Ensure the business understands the local financial reporting, taxation and internal control implications of operational decisions.About YouPrevious experience within a similar regional role.Full Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, FCA, CIMA, ACA).IFRS knowledge.Confident, capable and credible with effective influencing and persuasiveness skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to relay financial information to stakeholders, solve conflicts and negotiate.Experience in people management, ideally remotely.Previous experience working in a matrix organisation.What We OfferBSI offers a competitive total reward package, an independent and varied role in an international environment, flexible working hours and ongoing training and development.D&I PolicyBSI is committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring the workforce reflects the communities it serves and providing opportunities for all employees to develop, grow and engage.Equal Opportunity EmployerBSI is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.#J-*****-Ljbffr
