Assistant Director

Mater Lingua, a cultural association focused on theatre and language projects, is looking for a creative and motivated young professional with native Spanish proficiency to join the team as Assistant Director for stage direction for our upcoming production: FRANKENST[AI]N. Location: Cilento (Italy) Dates: ***** January Language requirements: Candidates should have native or very strong English skills and speak at least one of the following: Italian or French. About the project: This production is a fresh and contemporary take on Frankenstein, exploring the contradictions of today's society and the role of AI in the modern world. It combines social reflection, creativity, and a bold reinterpretation of a classic story. What the role involves: The Assistant Director will join the entire rehearsal process, working side by side with the Artistic Director. You'll help shape the staging, share creative ideas, bring new perspectives, and support the artistic development of the show—from the first script reading to the final direction choices. This is a non-performing role. On the first day, after reading the script with the Artistic Director, you'll be asked to put together a first staging proposal that will serve as a starting point for the rehearsal process.
