Senior I&C Engineer ContourGlobal, a KKR company, is an Independent Power Producer (IPP) focused on developing, acquiring, and operating electric generation and storage assets across Europe, North and South America, Africa, and Asia.The company currently manages 5.5 GW of installed capacity across multiple technologies and asset classes, with an additional 800 MW of renewables under construction and nearly 12.6 GW under development.Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled I&C (Instrumentation & Control) Engineer with expertise in SCADA systems to join our Engineering team.In this role, you will report to the Discipline Leader and perform control and design of protection systems and associated engineering activities across our renewable energy plants (solar, wind, etc.).This role requires technical proficiency throughout the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and design to construction and commissioning phases.Key ResponsibilitiesControl and maintenance of protection systems and associated engineering activities within renewable energy plants.Define the Technical Specification of SCADA and control system design activities across all project stages: feasibility studies, preliminary engineering work, construction, and commissioning phases.Prepare purchase order specifications to activate external engineering support and assist the Procurement department with technical specifications and network architecture during bidding phases.Manage and supervise the design and engineering activities performed by external contractors.Control and specify electrical technical requirements and network architecture as needed.Support the review of electrical drawings and technical specifications to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Monitor and review technical documents issued by EPC suppliers/contractors.Knowledge of market and estimate budgetary estimation for Capex and Opex definition (relevant to the SCADA and I&C system of renewable plant).Ensure all designs comply with international standards and adhere to engineering best practices.Qualifications and SkillsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.Experience: 10+ years experience in I&C, SCADA system design, and protection systems, preferably within the renewable energy sector.Strong knowledge of electrical technical specifications, network architectures, and control systems.Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documents.Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage and supervise external contractors effectively.Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken) is required; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.Frequent national & international travels; availability to attend site inspections, technical meetings, and engineering reviews.What Drives Your Application ForwardA master's degree in Sustainable Energy Systems, Electrical Engineering, or similar is highly valued.Demonstrated experience integrating storage systems with renewable assets.Ability to lead technical discussions with international suppliers, clients, and partners.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionElectric Power Generation, Services for Renewable Energy, and Electric Power Transmission, Control, and DistributionContourGlobal provides equal employment opportunities and maintains a diverse workforce that reflects the rich environment of our society and the markets in which we operate.#J-*****-Ljbffr
