ASSISTANT HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER San Clemente Palace Venice – This majestic resort immerses guests in a 900-year-old historic building, rich in charm and Renaissance tradition.It features a collection of beautifully restored monastic structures, a 12th-century chapel, and nearly 6 hectares of ancient gardens offering breathtaking views of the city, along with 196 meticulously furnished rooms and suites – including the largest and most exclusive suite in Venice.Annual art installations rotate throughout the property in conjunction with the Venice Biennale.Inside, the hotel seamlessly blends contemporary style with Renaissance influences, boasting six-meter-high ceilings, wide corridors, grand staircases, and intricate details such as terrazzo floors, silk-covered walls, and Murano glass chandeliers, making it one of Europe's premier hotels for art exhibitions.Serenity permeates the hotel's exclusive environment, enhanced by the heated outdoor pool, tennis court, jogging paths, pitch & putt golf course, and a fully equipped kids' club – ensuring an unforgettable stay.The hotel's proximity to St. Mark's Square, its exceptional culinary offerings featuring a rich variety of Italian cuisine, and its unique combination of indoor and outdoor event spaces invite guests to create truly memorable experiences.Role Description As Assistant Housekeeping Manager , you will support the overall operation of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service across rooms, suites, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.This role requires exceptional leadership, an outstanding eye for detail, and the ability to uphold the property's luxury standards while coaching and motivating a diverse, multicultural team.Your main responsibilities will include:Operational ManagementOverseeing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas meet or exceed LQA and hotel luxury standardsConducting regular inspections of rooms, corridors, and public spaces, addressing deficiencies and ensuring corrective actionsCoordinating daily room assignments, workload distribution, and scheduling for attendants, housemen, and supervisorsEnsuring timely and efficient room turnaround, especially during peak occupancy and VIP arrivals Team Leadership & TrainingSupporting recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training of housekeeping staffProviding coaching, motivation, and performance feedback to enhance service quality and productivityPromoting a positive, collaborative, and multicultural work environment aligned with the hotel's valuesAssisting in implementing SOPs and training team members to ensure consistency Guest Service & Quality AssuranceResponding swiftly to guest requests, preferences, and issues, ensuring successful service recovery when necessaryCollaborating closely with Front Office and Guest Relations teams regarding room status and VIP expectationsMaintaining high guest satisfaction scores related to cleanliness and housekeeping service Inventory, Supplies & Budget SupportAssisting in managing inventory of linens, amenities, uniforms, and cleaning suppliesMonitoring usage, reducing waste, and ensuring cost-effective ordering while maintaining luxury standardsSupporting the Executive Housekeeper in budget preparation and cost-control initiatives Health, Safety & ComplianceEnsuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and environmental regulationsPromoting safe working practices and correct use of equipment and chemicalsParticipating in regular safety and sustainability training and initiativesWhat We're Looking ForPrevious experience in housekeeping leadership roles within a luxury hotel; experience in resort or island properties is an advantageStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsExceptional attention to detail and a passion for luxury hospitalityAbility to manage a large multicultural team in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Italian and English required; additional languages are a plusStrong problem-solving abilities and a guest-focused mindsetWorking ConditionsBased on San Clemente Island; daily boat transfers required as part of operationsFlexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak periodsWhat We OfferA leadership role within one of Europe's most prestigious luxury propertiesOpportunity to support operations in a stunning historical resort immersed in art, culture, and heritageCompetitive compensation and benefits packageProfessional development and training opportunitiesAccommodation, meals, uniform, and on-property benefitsA dynamic, supportive, and international team environmentApply Now Ready to support and elevate the housekeeping excellence of one of Venice's most iconic luxury hotels?Send your CV and cover letter to:
