Proprietary Equipment Mechanical & Package Senior Engineer NEXTCHEM, a company of the MAIRE Group dedicated to Sustainable Technology Solutions, is seeking a dynamic and innovative Proprietary Equipment Mechanical & Package Senior Engineer to join our team.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of cutting-edge technologies aimed at advancing the energy transition agenda.If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the realm of sustainable technology, we encourage you to apply.Thanks to NEXTCHEM's extensive know-how of nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon capture, fuels, chemicals and polymers, you'll be part of a dynamic team dedicated driving innovation and sustainability in the energy transition sector.The candidate will become part of the NX Engineering District of Catania having the opportunity to work on innovative and novel technologies to fully enable the energy transition, click on the link for further information: NX engineering district | NextChemThe Recruitment process is managed by Key2People, a partner of NEXTCHEM.Main Activities & Responsibilities:Lead and ensure together with PEQ PM/HoD the quality of the generated deliverables and their compliance with the contractual requirements and company standards, procedures and work instructions;Prepare and discuss with Project Team (Project Manager and/or Project Engineering Manager) and Engineering Head of Department the execution strategy of the project (including the project schedule) and assure its application throughout the entire project life;Assure the coordination of the activities of the discipline regardless the location and distribution of the engineering centers guaranteeing the consistency of the documents with the contract, the respect of the time schedule, the implementation of the contract requirements, the compliance of the assigned budget (both cost and man-hours) and the quality of the deliverables under the guidance of the Project Manager/HoD and cooperating with the other Project Engineers;Interact with Client representatives and Vendors for all the technical topics impacting on the project both in time and costs;Issuing of technical documents (calculations and drawings);Issue the Material Requisitions, the technical tabulation of the Vendor's offers;Execute the follow up of the vendors during the bidding stage and during the execution of the projects;Check the sub vendors' documents, as requested by the Responsible, in agreement with the Project Team;Guarantee assistance to the inspection and construction departments upon request as per project needs;Participate during the bidding stage to the issue of technical proposals;Participate to the development of new solutions for the Proprietary equipments;Participate to the technical training of competence and exchange experience with colleagues of the Group;Conduct technical training as per department and Company needs and exchange experience with colleagues of the entire Tecnimont Group for new Design techniques;Keep theirselves updated about the technical specific improvement of the discipline.Competences:Experience specifically related to different types of static equipment for Petrochemical or Oleochemical applications (Pressure Vessels, S&T Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers, Filters, Plate Heat Exchangers, Reactors);Ability to review client specifications & standards, prepare customized equipment supply and design specifications, prepare equipment inquiry/purchase requisitions;Competence in preparing equipment mechanical data sheets by the use of 2D Cad softwares, and preliminary pressure equipment calculation design softwares (Compress-3D) & technical bid evaluations;Competences in mechanical/structural drawings review;Competences in materials ASTM;General competences in rotating equipments (Fans/motors);General competences in heat exchange and refractory calculation (Symutherm preferred)Review of vendor engineering drawings, calculations , technical documents, and interface with other disciplines and departments;Knowledge of API, ASME, ANSI, PED Directive, TEMA, EN and other process industry codes and standards is necessary;Ability to produce accurate project deliverables and maintain project schedules and man hour budgets;Required Skills & Qualifications:Degree in Mechanical Engineering (3+2)+5 years of experience in the same positionFuent English speaker and writerWilling to travel for workAbility to adapt in a fast-paced environment and multidisciplinary contextAdaptivity to different disciplines (Thermal exchange, static equipment, rotating, package equipment)Project Engineer Settore Oil&Gas - CataniaWe're unlocking community knowledge in a new way.Experts add insights directly into each article, started with the help of AI.#J-*****-Ljbffr
