Your focus will be onWindows/Linux systems,networking,VMware,basic container operations, andinfrastructure troubleshooting.This role combineshands-on expertise with coordination responsibilities, supporting platform migrations, day-to-day operations, and stakeholder collaboration—especially where Italian language and local knowledge are key.What do you have to offer?Essential:Strong experience with Linux (RedHat/Debian) and Windows Server systemsExperience with Microsoft services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IISProficiency with Apache, OpenVPN, Postfix, FTP/SFTPStrong knowledge of L2/L3 networking, TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, and reverse proxies (HAProxy)Experience with VMware hypervisors and hybrid system managementBash scripting for automationFamiliarity with Kubernetes, Rancher, and HarborMonitoring tools (Centreon, Nagios)Fluent inEnglish and ItalianPreferred:Exposure to Azure, AWS, or other hybrid cloud platformsExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)Prior involvement in platform integration or migration initiativesStrong communication skills inmultilingual, cross-bordertechnical environmentsWhich tasks can you expect?Key AccountabilitiesOperating System & Infrastructure AdministrationManage Windows-based infrastructure (IIS, file server, FTPS) and Linux services (Apache, OpenVPN, Postfix).Administer Microsoft services such as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.Networking & SecurityDesign and maintain segmented networks, including firewalls, VLANs, and reverse proxies like HAProxy.Configure L2/L3 switches and routers for hybrid environments.Container & Platform SupportOperate Kubernetes workloads using Rancher; manage Harbor container registry.Support basic container operations and lifecycle management.Automation & MonitoringMaintain automation scripts using Bash for infrastructure tasks.Operate and maintain legacy monitoring tools (Centreon, Nagios).Virtualization & Hybrid Cloud SupportMaintain VMware hypervisors; support hybrid workloads across cloud and on-prem.Provide infrastructure-level support for SQL Server and MySQL.Platform Integration & Technical CoordinationAct as thetechnical point of contact for F2Awithin SD Worx, supporting joint initiatives, migrations, and local operations.Facilitate cross-border collaboration, help resolve technical blockers, and ensure proper handovers to relevant squads.Ensure documentation, alignment, and communication across language and regional boundaries.Key Result AreasHybrid Infrastructure Management– Operate and troubleshoot legacy and hybrid systems (Windows, Linux, VMware).Network & Segmentation Operations– Maintain secure, segmented networking and reverse proxy configurations (HAProxy, VLANs, routers/switches).Container Platform Support– Support Kubernetes/Rancher-based infrastructure and Harbor container registries.Automation & Monitoring– Apply basic scripting and legacy monitoring tools to ensure operational stability.Platform Integration & Coordination– Act as the technical liaison for ongoing alignment between SD Worx and F2A infrastructure.Cross-Squad Collaboration– Work closely with cloud engineering squads and private cloud teams to ensure sustainable operations.From many places, we work as one, moving from better to best together.SD Worx lives diversity in the workplace.
