Manager, Applied Science - Health AI, Amazon Health Science & AnalyticsID: ******* | Amazon.com Services LLCWant to work on frontier, world class, AI-powered experiences for health customers and health providers?The Health Science & Analytics group in Amazon's Health Store & Technology organization is looking for a Manager of Applied Science to lead a group of applied scientists to work hand in hand with physicians and technologists to build the future of AI-powered healthcare experiences.We have an ambitious roadmap which includes scaling recently launched products which are already delighting products and the opportunity to build disruptive, new experiences.This role will be responsible for leading key science initiatives in support of our ambitious goals.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage a team of scientists and sustainably deliver the science agenda for our products.Define the science roadmap for key products.Maintain and raise the science bar of the team's deliverables and keep the broader Amazon Health Services organization apprised of the latest relevant technical developments in the field.Work across business, clinical, and technical leaders to disambiguate science needs and socialize progress towards key goals and deliverables.Proactively identify risks and shape the technical roadmap anticipation of industry trends in emerging AI subfields.Basic QualificationsKnowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics5+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experienceHands on experience in AI product development and experience with conversational systems.Preferred QualificationsExperience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business applicationExperience building complex software systems, especially involving deep learning, machine learning and computer vision, that have been successfully delivered to customersExperience with AI development in healthcare settings.PhD in Computer Science (CS), Computer Engineering (CE), Machine Learning (ML), or related technical fieldAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Base pay ranges from $165,500 per year in our lowest geographic market to $286,000 per year in our highest geographic market.Equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits may also be provided as part of a total compensation package.#J-*****-Ljbffr
