IO FTH is hiring for The Simple FolkAbout UsThe Simple Folk creates thoughtfully designed clothing for families, made for everyday life.Comfortable, easy, and deeply designed, our garments are crafted to move with children and parents alike, to be worn often, loved well, and passed down.We focus on timeless design, creating clothes that prioritize comfort, durability, and simplicity over trends.We are guided by respect for people, the planet, and the everyday moments that matter most.Morning routines, playtime, family gatherings, and everything in between.Our approach is rooted in intentionality and care, building a brand that values longevity, transparency, and meaningful impact.Job SummaryThe Junior Business Operations Manager will be trained and developed to own and optimize the operational backbone of The Simple Folk, ensuring smooth operations across logistics, systems, inventory, and production.Based at the IO FTH HQ in Rome, Italy, this role is critical to supporting our global DTC and wholesale business by driving operational excellence, inventory accuracy, and cross-functional alignment.This individual will serve as the primary operational partner across third-party logistics, internal systems (Shopify, WMS, NetSuite), and supply chain stakeholders, using data to inform decisions.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-growing, mission-driven brand that balances hands-on execution with strategic thinking to support sustainable growth and an exceptional customer experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLogistics & FulfillmentManage day-to-day logistics and fulfillment operations across all sales channelsManage the relationship with the company's primary 3PL partnerOversee inbound freight coordination (air and ocean)Ensure timely replenishment, delivery, and fulfillment of productsReview and approve 3PL invoices by validating fulfillment volumes, returns, storage, and accessorial chargesTroubleshoot fulfillment issues, including delayed shipments, lost packages, and carrier exceptionsSupport international shipping strategy, courier selection, and customer experience optimizationSystems & OperationsAct as primary operational owner for Shopify, WMS, ERP (NetSuite), and internal operational toolsOversee system integrations and maintain data integrity across SKUs, inventory, POs, receipts, and reconciliationsLead operational aspects of system implementations and system-related improvementsInventory Management & PlanningOwn inventory accuracy and visibility across DTC, wholesale, and international channelsAnalyze sell-through, on-hand, and incoming inventory to identify risksMaintain inventory planning and reporting to monitor aging, sell-through, and on-hand vs. incoming inventoryProvide buy quantity recommendations for replenishments and new collections, aligned with seasonality, MOQs, and cash flowSupport accurate cost tracking, landed cost inputs, and invoice approvals in partnership with FinanceCommunicate inventory risks and recommendations clearly to leadership and cross-functional teamsProduction CoordinationCoordinate with Production and suppliers to support production timelines and operational readinessTrack production schedules against delivery windows to support launches and replenishmentsAlign inventory needs with manufacturing schedules and logistics constraintsCross-Functional Partnership & SustainabilityCollaborate cross-functionally with Production, Finance, Marketing, and Customer ExperienceSupport sustainable operational practices aligned with company valuesCommunicate operational dependencies, risks, and impacts proactivelyGeneralBachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)Passionate for operations, supply chain, or business operations, ideally with 1-3 years of experienceStrong operational and financial acumen, with experience in inventory planning, cost tracking, and operational reportingFull professional proficiency in English (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate clearly across global teams and external partnersHighly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environmentStrong communicator with the ability to translate operational data into clear insights and recommendationsCollaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally across Production, Finance, Marketing, and Customer ExperienceProactive problem-solver with a hands-on approach and strong ownership mentalityTechnical & SystemsAdvanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis)Experience working with Shopify and e-commerce operations toolsHands-on experience with ERP and WMS systems;
