Here, solid medicines such as tablets and dry powders for inhalers, solutions and suspensions for inhalations and sterile suspension vials for endotracheal administration are produced.In ****, a newBiotech Centre of Excellencehas launched in Parma. The new facility is dedicated to developing and producing monoclonal antibodies, enzymes, and other proteins.Blois-La Chaussée Saint Victor plant(France), a center of excellence specializing in the production of Dry Powder Inhalers and Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs). The site manages direct distribution to customers in the French market and exports to other markets, effectively meeting both local and international needs.Santana de Parnaiba(Brazil), specialized in the production of pressurized solutions and suspensions for inhalation therapy (pMDIs). Additionally, it has an area dedicated to nasal sprays for the European market. Santana produces pressurised solutions and suspensions for inhalation therapy (MDI).In ****, a new investment inNerviano(Italy) has been announced with the construction of a new facility which will be primarily dedicated to manufacturing carbon minimal inhalers (reinforcing the company's commitment to both patients' health and sustainable healthcare solutions), dry powder inhalers and sterile biological products.Who we are looking forThis is what you will doThe person will be responsible for the definition, optimization and control of production processes, constantly seeking greater efficiency and effectiveness of industrial plants to ensure the continuous improvement and business continuity of each department involved.You will be responsible forEvaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement and how to improveDeveloping and implementing systems and strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costsDesigning, running, testing and upgrading systems and processesCreating process simulations and conducting risk assessments and related remediation, if anyPerforming process analysis and making recommendations for improvementProviding technical support and training to staff and junior engineersEnsuring that all processes and procedures comply with safety and environmental regulationsWorking closely with other specialists, including engineers and scientists, to develop processesDocumenting all created processes and updating and maintaining these documents as changes occurCollect data and monitor the progress of processesAdapt the plants to current regulations, in terms of risk prevention and safety, reduction of environmental impact, use of energy sourcesManage the construction, installation and operation of the installationsDevelop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of outputProvide process documentation and operating instructionsProvide process and equipment design, process optimization, and troubleshootingManage cost and time constraintsYou will need to havePrevious experience in roles within the pharmaceutical industryAt least 5 years of working experience in pharmaceutical industry (manufacturing environment)Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering/Science preferred in process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, automation technology or a similar discipline.Good command of English languageProficiency with Microsoft Office package, CAD and SAPLeadership and social influencePlanning and organizational skillsInnovative & focused approach to identify and implement ways of working and tools to achieve project objectives.Structured & rigorous approach ensuring effective coordination to ensure safe, reliable, effective & sustainable implementation.We would prefer for you to haveGood understanding of change management and process risk analysis as well as maintenance.Knowledge of reporting principles and techniques, industrial accounting and management controlKnowledge of project development phases from selection to close-out and their managementKnowledge of project practicesLocationThe person has to be based in Parma.What we offerNo matter where your path starts at Chiesi, it leads to inspiring possibilities.
