OverviewJob ID: ******* | Amazon Data Services, Inc.Join our dynamic team and become a critical guardian of technological infrastructure.As a Data Center Engineering Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and high uptime.Engineering Technicians are Amazon's front line for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting.They maintain, operate, and troubleshoot data center facilities, including stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems, three-phase electrical systems (switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, wet cell batteries), CRAC, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers/water systems, air handlers and related systems, pumps and motors.AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that enable continual access to AWS services.You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.You will collaborate with teams across AWS to deliver high safety and security standards while providing capacity at a competitive cost.We foster an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Note: Amazon does not sponsor immigration (including H-1B, TN, and other non-immigrant visas) for this role.Lump-sum relocation stipends are available for eligible candidates.Key responsibilitiesDaily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability and availabilityMonitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA)Perform rack installs and rack decommissioning within internal SLAPerform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipmentTechnical writing to support change management programMonitor daily work requests, manage to resolution, and execute projects from conception to completionOn-site support of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring all work adheres to established practices, procedures and local legislationWork schedule changes depending on site needs;
