Title: Field Application Engineer (m/w/d) About Advanced Energy Advanced Energy (Nasdaq: AEIS) is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of highly engineered, precision power conversion, measurement and control solutions for mission-critical applications and processes.AE's power solutions enable customer innovation in complex applications for a wide range of industries including semiconductor equipment, industrial, manufacturing, telecommunications, data center computing and healthcare.With engineering know-how and responsive service and support around the globe, the company builds collaborative partnerships to meet technology advances, propel growth for its customers and innovate the future of power.Advanced Energy has devoted four decades to perfecting power for its global customers and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado.For our Sales Team in Southern Europe we are looking for a Field Application Engineer (m/f/d) RESPONSIBILITIES: FAE will support the adoption of Advanced Energy power conversion solutions at our customers at all stages of the engagement process from presales activity to postproduction/installation support FAE will provide technical proposals and specification reviews for both standard and modified/custom designed products Further FAE support comes in many forms: AE solution recommendations, system architecture guidance, schematic review, on-site customer qualification & debug support, etc....FAE will establish and maintain technical relationships with customers and distributors, striving to be considered a trusted advisor for Power conversion solutions Through developing engineering relationships with our customers, the FAE will identify and communicate technical requirements for new applications or customer needs that aren't served by the current portfolio to the Advanced Energy product development.FAE input is critical in definition of new products and roadmap As a trusted customer advocate, FAE's must have the confidence and persuasive skills to earn the respect of engineering leaders both internally and with the customer The FAE's technical perspective heavily influences the sales strategy FAEs regularly provide technology updates and product training to customers, sales, and distribution EXPERIENCE / SKILLS: Essential: Degree in Electronic Engineering (minimum Bachelor's) Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in related fields desirable Minimum 5+ years relevant professional experience in related engineering field such as AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion solutions Experience in a customer-facing role, such as field applications or business development, with direct customer interaction Ability to work independently in a flexible and challenging environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, across teams and with customers Ability to present technical proposals, provide product trainings, and present at industry relevant public conferences Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex engineering and technical product issues using sound judgment We welcome: Working knowledge of high tech industrial and medical market segments Experience with IP, serial, and analog/digital based communications protocols and interfaces (e.G.
