Director of Operations – ItalyAbout the RoleWe are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Operations to lead and scale the company's presence in the Italian market.This executive role will be pivotal in establishing the organization's local structure, driving operational excellence, and ensuring long-term business growth in the energy and infrastructure sector.The successful candidate will combine technical expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership ability to build and manage operations from the ground up while aligning with the company's global strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Development & StrategyDefine and execute the company's market entry and growth strategy in Italy.Conduct market analyses to identify business opportunities and competitive dynamics.Establish and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and institutional stakeholders.Operational LeadershipDesign and implement the operational structure of the Italian entity.Oversee all business functions technical, commercial, financial, and HR ensuring alignment with corporate standards.Build and lead high-performing teams, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and safety.Project & Business ManagementSupervise execution of projects, ensuring technical, financial, and quality objectives are met.Develop commercial strategies for client acquisition and project development.Optimize processes and resources to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.Governance & ComplianceReport directly to global headquarters, ensuring strategic alignment.Monitor KPIs, budgets, and performance metrics.Guarantee compliance with local regulations on safety, quality, and environment.RequirementsEducationBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.Additional training in Project Management, Lean, or Business Strategy is an advantage.Experience10+ years of experience in operations or project management within energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.At least 5 years in senior management positions.Proven experience in launching or scaling business units internationally.Strong technical and commercial background, ideally in construction or high-voltage transmission.Skills & CompetenciesStrategic and analytical mindset with strong decision-making ability.Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.Fluent in Italian and English (Spanish or other European languages a plus).Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and results-driven profile.Why Join Us?This is a unique opportunity to build and lead the company's operations in Italy from inception.You will play a key role in the organization's international growth, leading a high-impact project within a global group that values innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.LocationItaly (Flexible – ideally Milan, Rome, or Florence)Contract TypePermanent, Full-time#J-*****-Ljbffr
