Job Description The Lobby Porter / Doorman is the crucial first and last impression of Orient Express's exclusive guest experience, embodying elegance and personalized service.This role provides a warm welcome and proactive assistance, ensuring seamless arrivals and departures with unparalleled comfort, security, discretion, and the highest standards of ultraluxe hospitality.Key responsibilities: Personalized Guest Welcome Assistance: Deliver a genuinely warm and personal welcome to every arriving guest with an authentic smile.Smoothly open vehicle and hotel doors, greeting guests by name, and assist with discreet arrivals and departures.Expertly manage guest luggage, ensuring prompt, secure, and meticulous transfer.Provide accurate hotel and local information, leveraging extensive knowledge for guests.Proactively anticipate guest needs, helping before any request.Operational Coordination Support: Maintain organized and fluid traffic at the hotel entrance, managing vehicles efficiently and courteously.Collaborate closely with Front Desk, Concierge and Security for a seamless guest experience.Ensure the main entrance and driveways are consistently pristine, reporting any discrepancies.Remain vigilant for suspicious activity, reporting concerns while upholding strict guest confidentiality.Coordinate all guest transportation requests efficiently, ensuring impeccable punctuality and service.Hotel Representation Service Excellence: Represent the hotel's brand through impeccable presentation, professional conduct, and a positive attitude.Learn guest preferences to proactively tailor services and deliver a bespoke experience.Continuously seek opportunities to offer assistance or enhance service, often intuiting guest needs.Respond swiftly and courteously to all guest requests and situations, exceeding expectations consistently.Qualifications Higher education in Hospitality Management.Minimum 2 years in a similar guest-facing role within a luxury or ultraluxe hotel.Impeccable personal presentation, polished demeanor, natural grace, and elegant posture are essential.Excellent interpersonal skills.Fluency in English and in Italian are required.Passion for exceptional service, strong anticipation skills, and innate hospitality.High level of discretion, professionalism, and absolute respect for guest privacy.Good physical condition for luggage handling and extended standing.Additional Information A competitive package (base salary and yearly bonus) Medical Insurance, integrating Collective Labor Agreement one and extended to the family Ticket Restaurant Annual leave ALL - Heartist® Program: Employee benefit card offering discounted rates at all ACCOR locations and partner venues worldwide.Learning development: Opportunity to develop your talent and grow within your property and across the worldOur commitment to Diversity Inclusion: We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
