Senior FPGA Development Engineer, Bespoke Solutions Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding its connectivity solutions and seeks a Senior FPGA Development Engineer to architect, develop, and integrate scalable FPGA systems within the AWS technology ecosystem.This position requires that the candidate be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Secret security clearance.After hire, the selected candidate must obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or a commensurate clearance.Key Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop custom RTL and integrate with third-party libraries to build end-to-end 100G+ solutions.Collaborate with design and system engineers to perform tradeoffs and architect new solutions for customers.Own the interface between software and hardware by developing drivers and providing software examples.Lead design meetings to plan development and review peer designs.Help identify new opportunities and technologies to improve the customer experience and add features.A Day in the LifeWork on a cross-functional team of hardware and software developers, writing programmable logic and embedded software to interact with custom hardware.Debug RTL in simulation, synthesize and implement ensuring timing and performance requirements are met; deploy RTL onto hardware targets and troubleshoot issues in RTL, hardware, or software.Provide subject-matter expertise in architectural discussions and strategic planning meetings.About the TeamOur team supports new hires with a mix of experience levels, promotes mentorship, and fosters an environment where senior members provide one-on-one guidance and thorough code reviews.We care about career growth by assigning projects that deepen engineering expertise and empower future leadership.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.5+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.Experience programming with at least one software programming language.7+ years of non-internship professional RTL development experience.3+ years developing programmable logic in VHDL or Verilog for FPGA SOCs.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.7+ years of full RTL development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.Experience developing programmable logic for FPGAs in VHDL or Verilog.Experience with Xilinx Ultrascale+ FPGAs, Versal ACAPs, and/or Intel Agilex SOCs.Experience developing programmable logic for 100G networking systems.Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.Equal OpportunityAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit for more information.Compensation and BenefitsColorado: $159,200 – $215,300 annuallyNational: $143,300 – $247,600 annuallyAmazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.Posted:March 4, **** (Updated 4 days ago)#J-*****-Ljbffr
