Who are we?At Vertiv, we're on a mission to empower the people that will power the future.From a simple swipe to life-changing medicines, from push notifications to generative AI.We design, manufacture, and service the products and solutions that keep the world connected.With $6.9 billion in sales, a strong customer base and global reach spanning nearly 70 countries, we are uniquely positioned to deliver greater value to our customers and create new opportunities for our people.We are currently seeking a Senior Thermodynamic Engineer to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD)Vertiv is looking for a Thermodynamic HVAC/chiller Engineer to be part of the Thermal Management mechanical Design team within the R&D Department, based in Piove di Sacco (PD) - Italy.He/She will be mainly focused on the Chiller products.What kind of work will you be doing?To manage the development of new R&D products in the data center cooling sector for high profile and well-known global datacenter customers.Deliver a fast and customer focused response on NPDI projects, where a new solution is based on an existing and well proven platform.Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high performance, cost effective design and market leading innovation.To lead the design of new products or re-engineer existing ones, collaborating with, Marketing, Procurement and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the customer's needs.To approve and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material).To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility.Availability to travel on request between the Italian HQ (base) and a production facility in Slovakia.A good level of experience in the HVAC sector with particularly good knowledge of Thermodynamics and refrigeration.What will make you successful?A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Energy Engineering is required;At least 3-5 years of previous working experience on similar projects, ideally in the HVAC/chiller sector;Good knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles are essential;English – Intermediate level – written and spoken;A high level of motivation combined with leadership abilities is required;Knowledge of technical norms and standards;Competences: result-oriented, team player, careful to details, flexible.If YOU are the person we are looking for, feel free to apply and let's start drafting your future career in a healthy and growing environmentThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.OUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.Integrity.Respect.Teamwork.Diversity & Inclusion.OUR STRATEGIC PRIORITIESCustomer FocusOperational ExcellenceHigh-Performance CultureInnovationFinancial StrengthOUR BEHAVIORSOwn ItAct With UrgencyFoster a Customer-First MindsetThink Big and ExecuteLead by ExampleDrive Continuous ImprovementLearn and Seek Out Development#LI-DP1
