Commitment & contract: fixed term contract, full time Step into a world of endless possibilities, together let's leave something for the futureAt IIT, we are committed to advancing human-centered Science and Technology to address the most urgent societal challenges of our era.We foster excellence in both fundamental and applied research, spanning fields such as neuroscience and cognition, humanoid technologies and robotics, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, and material sciences, offering a truly interdisciplinary scientific experience.Our approach integrates cutting-edge tools and technology, empowering researchers to push the limits of knowledge and innovation.With us, your curiosity will know no bounds.We are dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities and fostering diversity in all its forms, creating an inclusive environment.We value the unique experiences, knowledge, backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives of our people.By embracing diversity, we believe science can achieve its fullest potential.THE ROLEYou will be working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal.The Neurofacility supports research of several Principal Investigators (PIs) in the field of Neuroscience and, in general, in Life Science.The Neurofacility is an open, collaborative, multidisciplinary group of neuroscientists, biologists, biotechnologists, pharmacologists, physicists, and engineers.We are looking for a motivated and proactive technician to support the daily activities of the NeuroFacility and to ensure smooth operational workflows.The selected person will be trained to manage laboratory instrumentation, assist with experimental setups, and support research projects with different activities including general technical support but also procurement, logistics and small maintenance.This role is ideal for someone hands-on, curious, and eager to learn across multiple areas, also outside his/her main field of expertise.You will work closely with scientific, technical, and administrative teams to make sure that equipment, spaces and supplies are well organized and fully operational.Your main responsibilities will be:- Prepare, organize, and manage experimental workspaces to ensure they are functional and properly supplied.- Perform routine instrument checks, calibration and minor repairs on equipment and facility components.- Support researchers' technical needs and provide them with general troubleshooting to ensure functionality and readiness for experiments.- Assist with daily operational activities, including procurement, orders, inventory management, deliveries, and logistics.- Interact with external suppliers and service providers.- Train junior staff or students in the correct use of instrumentation and ensure compliance with lab procedures.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM discipline (e.g., engineering, biotechnology, biology or related field).- Able manual skills, developed problem solving attitude and ability in (or willingness to learn) basic mechanical and electronic troubleshooting for minor repairs.- Proactive, flexible, and hands-on attitude, with the ability to support daily operations across different areas (e.g., small maintenance, room management, general operational, procurement, orders, logistics).- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical, scientific, and administrative teams.- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.- Good working knowledge of English (spoken and written).ADDITIONAL/PREFERRED SKILLS- Strong willingness to learn new skills beyond already acquired competencies and take on diverse responsibilities.- Basic experience in electromechanics, electronics, or mechanical systems.- Previous experience in facility support, laboratory operations, technical assistance or in a research laboratory.- Experience in logistics or inventory management.COMPENSATION PACKAGE- A yearly gross salary ranging between 22k€ and 24k€- Candidates from abroad or Italian citizens who have carried scientific research activity permanently abroad and meet specific requirements, may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years.Please submit your application using the online form and including a detailed CV, cover letter.Application's deadline: January 31, ****#J-*****-Ljbffr
