FPGA Development Engineer, Bespoke Solutions Job ID: ******* | Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc.Application deadline: Jan 11, ****Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding connectivity and seeks an FPGA Development Engineer to architect, develop, and integrate scalable FPGA systems in the AWS technology ecosystem.This role will sit in our new headquarters in Northern Virginia, contributing to Amazon's $2.5 billion investment and 25,000 new full-time jobs.This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance.After hiring, the candidate must obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or an equivalent clearance for each government agency performing AWS work.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop custom RTL and integrate with third-party libraries to build end-to-end 100G+ solutions.Collaborate with design and system engineers to perform tradeoffs and architect new solutions for customers.Own the interface between software and hardware by developing drivers and providing software examples.Participate in design meetings to plan development and review peer designs.Help identify new opportunities and technologies to improve the customer experience and add features.A Day in the LifeYou will work on a cross-functional team of hardware and software developers, writing programmable logic and embedded software to interact with custom hardware.You will debug RTL in simulation, synthesize and implement ensuring it meets timing and performance requirements.You will deploy RTL onto hardware targets and help debug issues that arise in RTL, hardware, or software.You will provide subject-matter expertise in architectural discussions and strategic planning meetings.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.Experience programming with at least one software programming language.3+ years of developing programmable logic in VHDL or Verilog for FPGA SOCs.Preferred Qualifications3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.Experience developing programmable logic for FPGAs in VHDL or Verilog.Experience with Xilinx Ultrascale+ FPGAs, Versal ACAPs, and/or Intel Agilex SOCs.Experience developing programmable logic for 100G networking systems.Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, please visit for more information.#J-*****-Ljbffr
