Innovation is at the core of what we do.We believe that by removing and reducing the barriers that prevent people from taking their medications, we can help customers conveniently get the medications they need, when they need them and take them as prescribed.We have provided customers with the ability to find transparent and simple pricing, receive 24/7 customer service support, and have their meds delivered to their doorsteps while creating programs and products that embody our mission and position ourselves in becoming the world's safest and fastest online pharmacy.We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join us on our journey to make it drastically easier for customers to find, choose, afford, and engage with the services, products, and professionals they need to get and stay healthyThis position offers a unique blend of on-the-road independence and in-pharmacy teamworkIn this role you will be responsible for both kiosk management and working within our pharmacy operations, including driving from the Pharmacy to our Kiosk locations, refilling inventory and maintaining Pharmacy Kiosk Machines in regionalized areas by driving from our Pharmacy location to the Kiosks.You will also be working in the physical Pharmacy location preparing orders for customer shipments.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive from physical Pharmacy locations to our remote Pharmacy Kiosk locations with company provided vehicleRefill Pharmacy Kiosks with medication, paper, clean machine, and collect discarded inventory for returnPrepare inventory shipments for Kiosk replenishmentAssist pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacyMaintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules and regulationsWork daily with Leadership to ensure the right medications are put in the right ordersRun automated machinery required to pre-sort and package medicationsFill exception trays with appropriate medicationTransition Amazon Pharmacy orders through different workflow stages from initial dispense through quality controlCount and fill prescription vials and affix labels on bulk prescription itemsPack and ship completed orders including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispenser, shipping boxesSort and triage the right boxes to ship at the right timeAid the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacists with receiving, shipping, counting, and packingClean, and help maintain, equipment and work areas within the pharmacyPackage medications for dispensing and for deliveryWork a flexible schedule – shifts may start and end outside of normal site business hoursPhysical RequirementsDuring shifts last up to 12 hours (standard full-time shifts are 10 hours excluding overtime, flex and part-time shifts may vary)Driving for long periods of time (8+ hrs)Standing, bending, reaching above the head, kneeling, crouching and/or stretchingLifting and moving products up to 49 lbs in weightManual dexterity of hands and wristsBasic QualificationsActive and unrestricted in-state Board of Pharmacy License (FOR SPECIFIC STATES ONLY) or ability to obtain a Pharmacy Technician License within 30 days of start date, if required by State Board of PharmacyActive and unrestricted in-state Driver's LicenseClean driving record that passes Amazon's Motor Vehicle Checks, to be rechecked annuallyHigh school diploma or equivalent6+ months of experience working with computer and web-based toolsAbility to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisorAbility to read and understand English language labeling on product cartons and prescription labelsPreferred QualificationsNational Pharmacy technician Certification (PTCB or NHA)Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team memberDemonstrated organization skills and attention to detailAbility to recognize and identify patient medicationsExperience working under pressure in a fast-paced work environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and qualityAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Los Angeles County applicants: Job duties for this position include working safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff;
