Datacenter IT Technician Trainee (12 months)Job ID: | Amazon Corporate Services Pty LtdAre you excited about Server and Networking Technology and want to work in the largest data centers in the world?If so, we want to meet you and help grow your technical skillsAt Amazon, career progression is part of our environment.We want you to progress, so come and work for the world's most customer-centric company.You will work with the world's largest computing infrastructure.You will learn the daily operations of a large data center, troubleshoot hands-on with servers and network equipment, and interact with teams like logistics, networking, security, and more.Data Center Operations designs, installs and maintains the world's largest computing infrastructure.Our scope of work includes systems, repairing, dealing with issues, handling parts and assisting in data center maintenance.We are looking for candidates to commit to a 12-month contract and we are committed to provide coaching and periodic assessments to help develop your skills.If successful after the 12-month period you might be interviewed to join the Amazon family full-time.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostics and troubleshoot all hardware and related problemsPerform basic level OS troubleshootingPerform basic level configuration troubleshootingPerform replacement of parts and devicesPerform storage media (HDD, SSD, etc.) sanitization and destruction tasksMaintain a high level of system reliability by prioritizing resolution of trouble tickets efficientlyFollow DC operations, logistics, security and safety related processes and guidelinesPractice and enforce Amazon's security and safety best practices24/7 shift coverage is required and includes 12-hour rotating shiftsBasic QualificationsBasic knowledge of IT hardware (desktops, laptops, servers) and its configurationsBasic IT troubleshooting knowledgePhysical component requiring the ability to lift and rack equipment using lifting equipmentValid driver's license and own vehicle to travel between sitesPreferred QualificationsDiploma or university or TAFE in Linux or networking knowledgePassionate about IT infrastructure and hardwareAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-*****-Ljbffr
