OverviewBruker is enabling scientists and engineers to make breakthrough post-genomic discoveries and develop new applications that improve the quality of human life.Bruker's high performance scientific instruments and high value analytical and diagnostic solutions enable scientists to explore life and materials at molecular, cellular, and microscopic levels.In close cooperation with our customers, Bruker is enabling innovation, improved productivity, and customer success in post-genomic life science molecular and cell biology research, in applied and biopharma applications, in microscopy and nanoanalysis, as well as in industrial and cleantech research, and next-gen semiconductor metrology in support of AI.Bruker offers differentiated, high-value life science and diagnostics systems and solutions in preclinical imaging, clinical phenomics research, proteomics and multiomics, spatial and single-cell biology, functional structural and condensate biology, as well as in clinical microbiology and molecular diagnostics.For more information, please visit.Bruker is seeking a Data Privacy Counsel (m / f / d) (part time / full time) to join its Privacy Team.Reporting to the Chief Privacy Officer, this role involves close collaboration with other team members across all Bruker businesses and regions.The successful candidate will build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in a matrixed environment and have experience in a similar multinational business setting.The Data Privacy Counsel will mainly focus on EU Privacy Matters, with a profile on technology and outsourcing, act as a trusted business advisor for the relevant stakeholders.The successful candidate is passionate about data privacy and technology, can exercise sound legal and commercial judgment, and displays strong team spirit and work ethic.The position is open to candidates in the EU.This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with regular in-office presence at one of our designated locations.ResponsibilitiesWork with the Chief Privacy Officer and Bruker's Privacy Team and collaborate with business core functions to ensure compliance with data privacy obligations, helping to overcome the challenges of the ever-changing privacy regulatory landscape.Support the development of new data privacy-compliant instruments and services, including SaaS services product development of connected services, with a privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default approaches.The focus is primarily on the EU GDPR, but with close collaboration and understanding of global data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, FAPD, DPDPA, PIPL, and their data transfer requirements.Support the Privacy Team in developing and updating policies, guidelines, SOPs, and training programs in response to legal and regulatory changes, both in the privacy and AI fields.Support data protection impact assessments, data processing agreements negotiation, data mapping, and complex data subject access requests.Advise on data privacy issues related to mergers and acquisitions, including post-merger integration.Coordinate and contribute to the design of the IT and consulting demand management process, including third party data privacy assessments, data processing agreements, and coordination of related data processing activity recordings.Liaise with external Data Privacy Officers on privacy matters related to local data processing practices and initiatives.Facilitate security incident investigations and response efforts for incidents impacting personal data, especially when third party processors are involved.QualificationsLaw degree and appropriate certifications (., issued by the IAPP) required.Track record of 4-5 years of experience practicing EU or global data privacy law in a multinational in-house legal department.Understanding of and keen interest in the evolving cloud and technology regulatory landscape.Ability to handle a challenging workload and lead by influence rather than direct authority.Strong analytical ability, sound business judgment, and a balanced approach to risk mitigation.Superior written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to clearly and accurately explain complex privacy issues to a non-privacy audience.Highly adaptable and resilient in the face of competing priorities and change.Flexibility – able to balance need for process in a public company with an entrepreneurial culture.An enthusiastic and passionate self-starter with a can-do, results-oriented attitude.Willingness to participate in all aspects of a transaction.Strong organizational and operational skills.Strong interpersonal skills and experience working across functions and geographies.Languages : Fluent in English, additional EU languages (especially German) knowledge is a plus#J-*****-Ljbffr
