Logistics Process Improvement Specialist, Data Center Logistics Job ID: ******* | Amazon Data Services Japan G.K.AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running.We support all AWS data centers and all the servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.We're looking for a Logistics Process Improvement Specialist to streamline, optimize and elevate our operations.Using LEAN principles and data-driven insights, you'll uncover inefficiencies, design better workflows and deliver measurable results for our Data Center logistics team.You'll work with a diverse, collaborative team to transform raw data into smarter decisions, faster operations and better outcomes for our business and the customers who rely on us every day.Key job responsibilitiesLead targeted process improvement projects across our Data Center logistics operations, applying LEAN, Kaizen and other operational excellence tools.Map current workflows, identify bottlenecks and partner with operations teams to design and implement future-state processes that reduce waste, shorten cycle times and improve accuracy.Work hands-on with logistics teams to pilot and roll out process changes, ensuring adoption through clear documentation, training, and KPI tracking.Use observational analysis and operational data to monitor results post-implementation, adjusting approaches to ensure sustained gains.Support day-to-day logistics tasks such as managing and maintaining accurate inventory and parts checkouts, arranging, scheduling and supporting shipments across sites, unpacking boxes and verifying contents.Maintain a clean environment, orderliness and safety in all workspaces.Collaborate closely with inventory and transportation teams, data analysts, to connect process changes with measurable performance improvements and coach colleagues on LEAN concepts.Occasionally travel across the cluster to support other sites and lift materials up to 18 kg with teammates' support.Basic Qualifications2+ years' experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations with a focus on process improvement or operational excellence.Working knowledge of LEAN principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping).Experience analyzing operational data to support decision-making and measure process changes, and strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement practical, sustainable solutions.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with data center logistics operations (warehouse, inventory management).Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process improvement certification.Experience with BI or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight) to track performance metrics.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit for more information.If the country/region you're applying in isn't listed, please contact your Recruiting Partner.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-*****-Ljbffr
