OverviewAt Scalapay, we're shaping a culture with high standards, independent and critical thought, innovation, ownership, and continuous learning.We operate in a fast-moving, tech-driven environment, and we're looking for people who thrive in change, think boldly, and take initiative.If you're ready to put your potential to the test in a hiring process designed to spotlight exceptional talent, this is your chance to stand out and grow with one of Europe's most ambitious fintech teams.About the roleThe Tax Manager will work within the Payment Institute of the Scalapay Group, a regulated entity under Bank of Italy control, and will be in charge of monitoring the company's fiscal matters.The role reports directly to the Finance Director of the Scalapay Group.ResponsibilitiesProduce VAT, LIPE, Intrastat declarations, withholding tax and other recurring ordinary tax topics (with support of an external tax advisor).Prepare annual declarations (IRES and IRAP).Handle fiscal topics for cross-border entities (e.g., transfer pricing).Monitor the evolution of tax regulations, ensure fiscal compliance, and implement regulatory updates (Italian and European).Work closely with the legal department to support fiscal aspects.Collaborate with the Group's fiscal advisors.Close annual statutory financial statements and contribute to the annual Group Consolidated Financial Statements.Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.Support the department in improving accounting and fiscal processes and procedures.Participate in ad hoc projects and propose/drive projects (e.g., VAT Group and Fiscal consolidation).RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting/tax for financial services.5–8 years of experience in finance/tax or chartered accountancy firm.Excellent tax skills (VAT, withholding tax, etc.).Good working knowledge of OIC (ITA GAAP), IAS/IFRS.Experience in preparing financial statements (preferably for banks).Flexible, proactive, curious and self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.Strong computer skills, especially Excel.Chartered Accountant would be a plus.Recruitment processInitial call with Talent Acquisition and Finance Director.Practical case or technical discussion with Senior Leadership.Pro tipsWe know application processes can be scary and frustrating, but we look for talent, not people who tick every box.We believe in the power of diversity: Scalapay is an Equal Opportunity Employer for any minority, disability, gender identity or sexual orientation.ApplyPlease note that only candidates with a legal working status in Italy will be considered as we do not provide any sponsorship.Are you currently legally able to work in Italy?Would you be able to commute easily to our Milan office?Example: J-*****-Ljbffr#J-*****-Ljbffr
