Where passion meets opportunity The best of your adventures is the one you have yet to sail Job Purpose The Senior Program Manager ensures the governance and coordination of the Reservations System evolution, overseeing multi-vendor deliveries and internal teams. The role guarantees alignment with MSC's strategic objectives, secures business continuity, and provides full visibility to senior leadership on progress and risks. Positioned as a key reference point for business and IT stakeholders, this position drives the transformation of the company's most critical system. This role reports directly to the Deputy Head – Demand and Delivery Senior Manager, Reservations System. Key Accountabilities Oversee and coordinate delivery activities across multiple technology partners and internal teams, ensuring compliance with MSC's quality and strategic standards. Act as a single point of accountability for program execution, reporting progress, risks, and mitigations to senior leadership. Ensure that delivery plans and releases are aligned with MSC's transformation roadmap and business priorities. Promote the adoption of Agile SAFe practices, enabling efficient and transparent collaboration across distributed teams. Safeguard continuity by embedding robust governance frameworks for testing, staging, and production deployments. Drive modernization programs, including legacy migrations, zero-outage architecture, and AI-enabled enhancements. Foster strong collaboration with senior business stakeholders, ensuring that delivery supports commercial objectives and operational excellence. Qualifications 12 years of experience in IT program or delivery management, including 5 years in senior global roles. Proven track record managing complex, multi-vendor transformations of mission-critical enterprise systems. Strong expertise in Agile SAFe and scaled delivery frameworks. Solid knowledge of enterprise architecture principles and their application in delivery governance. Strong technical literacy with familiarity of Spring, J2EE, Angular, Oracle, ElasticSearch (logging and monitoring), and Cache with Couchbase, enabling informed oversight of vendor solutions. Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact with senior business and IT leadership. Strong leadership and organizational capabilities, with experience managing global, distributed delivery environments. Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent. Fluent in English (oral and written); Italian is a preference. VISA Requirements Right to work in Italy.
