Overview Amazon is a US-based multinational electronic commerce company headquartered in Seattle, Washington.Amazon.com started as an online bookstore, but soon diversified into many other categories, with a vision to be earth's most customer-centric company and to build a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online.ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities include month-end closing activities, preparation of monthly/quarterly/annually reconciliations and balance sheet analysis.This position will support the Management in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting systems, procedures, and policies.It will also play an important role in promoting systems/process development within the department to ensure ongoing efficiency and control improvements.QualificationsMust be a Certified Accountant with CA / ICWA / CIMA / CMA or CPA.Prior experience in Retail or Marketplace or Financial Retail Services is a plus.Strong interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills.Zeal towards Operational Excellence / Process improvement & simplifications.Excellent knowledge of financial controls and procedures, US GAAP knowledge would be plus.Advance level Excel and knowledge of SQL is a must.Experience of Oracle/SAP.Flexible, adaptable, well organized.Knowledge of Six Sigma defect reduction techniques (Lean, etc) preferred.Proactive behavior.Strong team skills.Self-motivated, enthusiastic and highly energetic.Basic Qualifications3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience.4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience.Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience.Six Sigma Black Belt.Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer.Preferred Qualifications4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.MBA, or CPA.Knowledge of Tableau.Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).Inclusion & AccommodationsOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit for more information.If the country/region you're applying in isn't listed, please contact your Recruiting Partner.Posted: December 25, **** (Updated about 17 hours ago)Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-*****-Ljbffr
