Senior R&D Engineer – Motor DesignLocation: Senago, Italy or Randers, DenmarkDepartment: R&D – Motors & DrivesAbout Multi-Wing GroupDriven by our mission "Shaping airflow for future generations", Multi-Wing Group is a global leader in custom-designed axial fan solutions for the HVAC/R and Powertrain cooling industries.With more than 60 years of experience, we continuously expand our innovative modular systems to deliver efficient, flexible, and quiet airflow solutions worldwide.Our work contributes to a safer, healthier planet for future generations.The RoleWe are looking for a Senior R&D Engineer – Motor Design to strengthen our Motors & Drives R&D team in Senago.In this role, you will take technical ownership of electric motor development for fan applications, from concept to industrialization.This position requires strong technical independence, hands-on engineering capability, and a structured, solution-oriented mindset.While the role does not include people management, it offers significant responsibility, autonomy, and influence on product performance, efficiency, and reliability.Key Responsibilities:Motor Design & DevelopmentDesign and develop electric motors for fan applications, from concept through industrializationPerform electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical analyses using simulation toolsApply relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal design rulesTechnical Ownership & ExecutionTake ownership of assigned motor development activities or sub-projectsIdentify technical risks and propose robust engineering solutionsDrive continuous improvement of motor designs, materials, and processesTesting & ValidationDefine and execute motor performance and reliability testsAnalyse test results and implement design improvementsSupport root cause analysis of technical issues during testing or productionCollaboration & CommunicationCollaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teamsCommunicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersSupport customer-facing technical discussions when needed, with a solution-focused approachDocumentationPrepare and maintain technical documentation, including calculations, design descriptions, test reports, and change requestsContribute to internal technical reviews and engineering decision-makingRequired Qualifications:EducationBachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related fieldExperienceSeveral years of experience in electric motor design and developmentStrong understanding of electromagnetic design principles and motor manufacturing processesProven ability to work independently on engineering tasks or projectsTechnical SkillsProficiency in CAD tools and motor simulation software (e.g. Motor-CAD or similar)Ability to analyse simulation and test data and translate results into design improvementsStructured, analytical, and solution-oriented engineering approachPersonal AttributesTechnically confident and self-reliantDetail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and robustnessProactive, responsible, and reliable in managing own tasksCollaborative mindset with the ability to challenge ideas constructivelyOther RequirementsWillingness to travel occasionally for project meetings, testing, and collaboration with global teams and suppliersProficiency in Microsoft OfficeEnglish language skills at B2–C1 levelWhat We OfferA key technical role in a global, innovation-driven companyHigh level of autonomy and technical ownershipCollaboration with international teams and exposure to advanced motor technologiesThe opportunity to contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient solutions with real global impact
