Network Engineer (Data Center) Part-Time RoleJob Title:Network Engineer (Data Center)Payment:Hourly-BasedLocation:Milan, ItalyWe are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support our Data Center Network operations in Paris, France.The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, network provisioning, troubleshooting methodologies, and hardware maintenance.This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Roles and ResponsibilitiesData Center Capacity Growth PlanningCollaborate with stakeholders to plan and optimize rack and server layouts.Monitor capacity utilization and forecast growth requirements to ensure scalability.Equipment Provisioning DeploymentProvision, configure, and deploy server, network, and infrastructure equipment across staging and production environments.Ensure installations meet specifications and industry standards.Hardware Issue ResolutionTrack and troubleshoot data center hardware issues to reduce downtime.Note: The original text had a stray closing tag.It is removed for clarity.Manage RMA processes with vendors to replace faulty components.Best Practice ImplementationImplement and enforce data center best practices for security and operational efficiency.Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies to enhance workflows.Package Handling Inventory ManagementHandle large volumes of packages containing sensitive hard drives.Maintain accurate inventory records ensuring availability and data security.Operating System Hardware MaintenanceDemonstrate proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux.Perform hardware maintenance including drive replacements and troubleshooting.Networking Server InstallationConduct networking maintenance and complete server installations from unboxing to rack mounting.Configure IP addresses, RAID setups, and ensure proper network connectivity.Technical Knowledge TerminologyMaintain strong understanding of computer, network, and server terminology.Continuously update technical knowledge through training, certifications, and industry research.Order Ticket ManagementManage incoming orders and support tickets efficiently.Maintain detailed documentation and update terminology as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.Proven experience in network engineering, preferably in a data center environment.Strong understanding of networking protocols, hardware components, and server infrastructure.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Certifications such as CCNA or equivalent are a plus.Fluency in French and English is preferred.Seniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeContractJob FunctionInformation TechnologyIndustriesIT Services and IT Consulting#J-*****-Ljbffr
