Senior Data Scientist - GenAI & Computational BiologyCompany DescriptionAixelerate drives the acceleration of scientific research.Our platform combines AI-driven data analysis with human expert validation to deliver highly robust, publication-grade results.By leveraging advanced technology and real-world expertise, we empower researchers to rapidly achieve reliable outcomes.Our mission is to optimize the efficiency and accuracy of scientific research efforts.Role DescriptionThis is a hybrid role for a Senior Data Scientist.The Data Scientist will be part of a highly skilled team (each member with 12+ years of experience) responsible for the development of an agentic Web platform.The role will focus on building AI agents and tools for automating the analysis of complex biological datasets, developing predictive models, applying statistical analysis and creating intuitive data visualizations.Who You Are:A sharp critical thinker with a proactive mindset and the ability to own priorities and drive objectives in a fast-moving environment.A resourceful problem-solver with a "get things done" mindset.Curious, adaptable, eager to learn, fast paced.Technical skills:Python programming, statistics, and machine learning.Proficiency in Data Science, Data Analysis and Data Visualization methods.Experience with Biological datasets (Genomics, Proteomics, Sequencing, etc.) is a strong plus.Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.Experience with academic research process and publications.Product-building mindset (e.g., being able to autonomously fix a small bug in the web application and write a unit test).Comfortable with version control tools (e.g., Git).What You Will Do:Rapidly prototype, iterate, and engage with biomedical scientists and researchers.Design and develop tools and agents using cutting-edge AI systems for automated analysis of complex datasets to revolutionize scientific research.Build predictive models, apply advanced statistical analysis, and create clear, intuitive data visualizations.Contribute to an agentic web platform, bridging data science, AI systems, and product functionality.Work daily with experts in AI, biology, management, and platform engineering, learning and contributing across disciplines.What we offer:A minimum 3-month initial contract.Extension will be evaluated.Flexible, dynamic and international work environment with wide possibility of self-management and career development.Important learning opportunity, joining a small startup between the first 10 employees can grant a fast growth in parallel with the company.A friendly but extremely focused and meritocratic work environment.Seniority level:Mid-Senior levelEmployment type:Full-timeJob function:Engineering and Information Technology#J-*****-Ljbffr
