Description At G-nous Tech, we are redefining how robots interact with materials and people.We design cutting-edge AI-powered collaborative systems for surface finishing and beyond.G-nous Tech is looking for aSenior Robotics and Automation Engineerto support us on the development and deployment of our innovative products.As a key member of the G-nous Tech team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping AI-powered robotics automation solutions, while closely collaborating with the leadership team.Where you will be involvedDesign, implement and deploy robotic solutions, with particular focus on surface finishing robot workstationsStudy, select and integrate accessories, e.g., surface finishing systems, additional axes, vision systems, designed ad hoc for the specific applicationsPerform feasibility analysis, define technical specifications, and functional requirements of robotic automation systemsWork closely with the customer tounderstand the manufacturing processby observing operations, taking measurements, reviewing CAD files, and documenting machineryWork with the product and engineering teams toimprove the customer experienceSupport in defining thelong-term automation and robotics roadmapwith a strategic horizon.Drafting detailed technical specifications, align vendors on requirements, and supporttechnical and economic evaluations.Who we are looking forMaster's Degreein Automation / Mechatronics / Robotics Engineering or equivalentWorking experiencewith industrial and collaborative robot manipulators: UR, KUKA, ABB, etc.Knowledgeof software and tools which are generally used inindustrial automationand control systems as PLC, software development (Python, C, C++), robotic simulation environments (RoboDK)Demonstratedhands-on experiencein designing, building and deploying robotic systems.Knowledge regarding the main operations concerning theintegration of robotic automation systems(feasibility analyses, technical specifications and functional requirements)Knowledge of mainindustrial communication protocols(Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP)Knowledge ofrobotics fundamentals(kinematics, path planning, collision avoidance, control theory).Excellent problem-solving and practical skills, and ability towork in a team.Nice to haveHands-on experience insafety design of robotic cells, including risk assessment, safety PLC configuration (e.g., Siemens S******F with TIA Portal, Bechkoff PLC, Rockwell GuardLogix), programming in IEC ******* languages (Structured Text, Ladder Diagram, Function Block Diagram), design of emergency stop circuits, and compliance with EU Machinery Directive *******/EC, ISO *****, and ISO/TS ***** collaborative robot safety standards.Familiarity withsurface finishing processes(sanding, grinding, polishing, deburring) and force-controlled robot applications.What you will findCollaborative culture: you will be working alongside brilliant and motivated people, where knowledge sharing, mutual support, and high standards are at the core of our work.Immediate impact: the solutions you design will be implemented directly in industrial environments, delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and sustainability.Professional growth: as part of a rapidly scaling startup, you will assume significant responsibility from the outset, with clear opportunities to progress into technical leadership and strategic roles.Agile environment: a dynamic and flexible workplace, combining the speed of a startup with a strong focus on excellence and structured execution.Job typePermanent full-timeplacement in the companyPlace of workVia Giuseppe Sangiorgi 15, *****, Bari (BA), Italy
