Your tasks - Develop new titles with a focus on design, lifestyle & architecture- Independently manage multilingual book projects from concept to print, including budgeting and scheduling- Collaborate closely with authors, translators, freelancers, and editors worldwide, as well as international institutions and image agencies- Handle image sourcing and clearance of text, image, artist, and photographer rights- Proofread and edit texts to ensure accuracy and stylistic quality- Coordinate internally with design, production, press, and sales departments- Support the Editorial Director with projects and administrative tasksYour profileWe are seeking an experienced, self-driven Editor with a strong track record in developing and publishing successful titles within the fields of design, lifestyle, and architecture.The ideal candidate brings proven editorial expertise, an eye for compelling content, and a portfolio of published works that demonstrate both creative vision and strong audience understanding.- Several years of professional experience as an editor for design, lifestyle, and architecture topics, ideally in the field of illustrated books- Master's degree in a humanities discipline, design and architecture or a comparable field- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus- In-depth expertise in clearing text and image rights as well as copyright- Strong affinity for text and confident stylistic judgment in editorial work- Keen visual sense for image and text composition- Extensive international network within publishing and the design/lifestyle sector- Negotiation skills and a confident, professional demeanor- Flexibility, resilience, and a solution-oriented approach to teamwork- International experience and intercultural competence- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and InDesignPlease include a list of your relevant publications with your application.We offer- A creative, international work environment with diverse responsibilities in a dynamic, steadily growing family-owned company- An open corporate culture with flat hierarchies and fast decision-making processes- Flexible working hours and the option for partial remote work- A permanent full-time position- Daily exposure to high quality, exclusive imagery on a wide range of subjects#J-*****-Ljbffr
