OverviewProprietary Equipment Mechanical & Package Senior Engineer NEXTCHEM, a company of the MAIRE Group dedicated to Sustainable Technology Solutions, is seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Engineer to join our team.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of cutting-edge technologies aimed at advancing the energy transition agenda.The role is based in the NX Engineering District of Catania, where you will work on innovative and novel technologies to enable the energy transition.The Recruitment process is managed by Key2People, a partner of NEXTCHEM.ResponsibilitiesLead and ensure together with the PEQ PM / HoD the quality of the generated deliverables and their compliance with contractual requirements and company standards, procedures and work instructions.Prepare and discuss with Project Team and Engineering Head of Department the execution strategy of the project (including the project schedule) and assure its application throughout the entire project life.Coordinate the activities of the discipline regardless of location and distribution of engineering centers, ensuring document consistency with the contract, adherence to schedule, contract requirements, budget (cost and man-hours), and deliverable quality under the guidance of the Project Manager / HoD and in cooperation with other Project Engineers.Interact with Client representatives and Vendors for technical topics impacting time and costs.Issue technical documents (calculations and drawings).Issue Material Requisitions and the technical tabulation of Vendor offers.Follow up with vendors during bidding and during project execution.Check sub-vendors' documents as requested by the Responsible, in agreement with the Project Team.Provide assistance to inspection and construction departments as needed for project needs.Participate in the bidding stage to issue technical proposals.Participate in the development of new solutions for proprietary equipment.Contribute to technical training and knowledge exchange with colleagues of the Group; conduct technical training as per department and company needs and share experience across the Tecnimont Group for new design techniques.Stay updated on technical improvements of the discipline.Competences and QualificationsExperience related to static equipment for Petrochemical or Oleochemical applications (Pressure Vessels, S&T Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers, Filters, Plate Heat Exchangers, Reactors).Ability to review client specifications & standards; prepare customized equipment supply and design specifications; prepare equipment inquiry / purchase requisitions.Competence in preparing equipment mechanical data sheets using 2D CAD software and preliminary pressure equipment calculation design software (Compress-3D) and technical bid evaluations.Experience in mechanical / structural drawings review; knowledge of ASTM materials; general competence in rotating equipment (Fans / motors); general competence in heat exchange and refractory calculation (Symutherm preferred).Review of vendor engineering drawings, calculations, technical documents; interface with other disciplines and departments.Knowledge of API, ASME, ANSI, PED Directive, TEMA, EN and other process industry codes and standards.Ability to produce accurate project deliverables and maintain project schedules and man-hour budgets.Degree in Mechanical Engineering (3+2); +5 years of experience in the same position; fluent English (spoken and written); willingness to travel for work.Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and multidisciplinary environment; adaptability to different disciplines (Thermal exchange, static equipment, rotating, package equipment).Location: Rome, Italy (the description indicates base in Catania with role activity described; final placement to be confirmed in the recruitment process).J-*****-Ljbffr#J-*****-Ljbffr
