Associate / Senior Associate - Business Development Join to apply for the Associate / Senior Associate - Business Development role at StepStone GroupWe are global private markets specialists delivering tailored investment solutions, advisory services, and impactful, data-driven insights to the world's investors.Leveraging the power of our platform and our peerless intelligence across sectors, strategies, and geographies, we help identify the advantages and responses our clients need to succeed.Position OverviewStepStone is looking for a detail-oriented individual who will work in a team supporting business development and client service activities towards Italian, Spanish, and French clients and prospects across asset classes.The selected candidate may be required to initially be in London or Zurich, working within the Private Equity, Infrastructure, or Private Debt team for an induction period, before moving permanently to Rome, Italy, to cover Italian clients locally and support coverage of Spanish and French clients.The selected candidate will interact and collaborate with our clients and prospects and closely with senior professionals across various teams including business development, research and investment across all asset classes (private debt, private equity, infrastructure and real estate), legal and compliance, monitoring and reporting, among others, to meet our client's requirements about the firm's service offerings and investment vehicles.The person should have a solid understanding of investments and ideally of private markets, strong project management skills and communication skills, and a client-oriented attitude.ResponsibilitiesWork alongside the business development and investment team to design and implement investment solutions for private debt investmentsCreate and prepare pitch books and investment proposals for institutional clientsCritically assess the veracity and applicability of content provided by cross-functional team members for pitches/proposalsCoordinate and lead specific implementation projectsAssist with market research and performance analysisAssist and perform ad-hoc projects and reviews related to the client solutions functionAdditional efforts may include creating and writing original content and analysis for new business activities (e.g., fact cards, presentations, etc.)Provide input on developing new and enhancing existing presentation content for marketing materialsAssist with various other projects and analyses for the Private Debt teamQualificationsMaster's degree in finance, business, or marketing preferredMinimum of 2-5 years of related financial services experience required (experience in private markets, investment banking, consultancy, or investment management is a plus)Highly motivated self-starter, with a demonstrated history of taking initiative, being adaptive in a fast-changing environment, and working independentlyStrong ability to multitask and manage time in a detail-oriented environmentStrong cross-functional analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative.Ability to capture and formulate complex issuesSelf-driven and able to work independentlyStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven experience working with complex Excel files and PowerPoint presentationsFollow-up skills and acute attention to accuracy and detail are essentialClient-oriented / investor relations attitudeProficiency in Italian and English is a must (verbal and written).Being able to speak Spanish and/or French (business level) is a plusAt StepStone, we believe that our people are our most important asset and crucial to our success.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer that strives to create an environment that empowers our employees and allows them to be heard, regardless of title or tenure.Our organizational community features multiple Employment Resource Groups as well as mentorship programs to enhance the employee experience for all.As an Equal Opportunity Employer, StepStone does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship status, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by law.Candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply.#J-*****-Ljbffr
