Position: Senior Technical Director – Waste to Energy PlantsLibya – Benghazi (with traveling to Milan)Project BackgroundGKSD Green Solutions is involved in the development of a major international project for the construction of a Waste to Energy plant in Benghazi, Libya , aimed at energy recovery from waste and the improvement of local environmental management.To strengthen the project team, GKSD Green Solutions intends to initiate the selection of a Senior Technical Director with proven experience in the delivery of complex industrial plants, with specific expertise in the Waste to Energy sector.The Senior Technical Director will be responsible for the technical and economic management of the project (time, cost, quality, risk) , coordinating all phases from preliminary and detailed engineering through construction and start-up of the plant.The role involves close coordination with GKSD Green Solutions' Management , international suppliers, and local counterparts, ensuring compliance with project schedule, budget, plant performance/quality, and safety requirements.Overall project management across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phasesCoordination of external engineering teams and management of engineering activities (process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil)Responsible for planning, monitoring and controlling of project schedule, project costs, work progress, project budget, and cash flowManagement and coordination of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors during constructionEnsuring compliance with applicable technical, environmental, and safety regulationsSupport to pre-commissioning, commissioning, and final handover of the plantReporting on technical and economic data to GKSD Green Solutions managementDegree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Energy, Environmental, or equivalent)Proven experience as Technical Director in the design and construction of waste to energy plants, power generation plants, or complex industrial facilitiesDemonstrated experience in managing EPC / EPCM projects in international environmentsStrong technical background, with the ability to review and manage technical documentation, project schedules, cost control reports and risk register / matricesExcellent command of the English languageKnowledge of the Arabic language will be considered a strong assetWillingness to relocate in Libya and the Middle EastThe primary work location will be Benghazi , with traveling to Milan during both the engineering, construction and start-up phases of the plant.The selection is aimed at a highly senior professional capable of representing GKSD Green Solutions in a strategic international project and contributing decisively to the technical and operational success of the initiative.The selected candidate may also be involved in similar development projects in Europe and the MENA region .
