Ground Operations ManagerSSC - Swedish Space Corporation is seeking a Ground Operations Manager for its Italian subsidiary, SSC Italy.DescriptionWe are looking for passionate individuals with a strong background in telecommunications or space engineering and extensive experience in ground operations to support one of our customers in Italy.If you are eager to make a significant impact in the space industry, apply now and embark on an extraordinary space journey with us.RequirementsMSc in Aerospace or Space, Telecommunication Engineering or other relevant studies.Proven extensive experience – at least 5 years – in ground operations, including direct involvement in LEOP activities.Network and system admin, knowledge on mission planning and flight dynamics systems.Strong knowledge of TT&C systems, ground networks, and mission control infrastructure.Familiarity with ground segment monitoring and telemetry handling.Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams under time-critical conditions.Advanced level of English and excellent communication skills.Experience in LEO missions.On-call availability during all spacecraft contact windows and outside the windows for system troubleshooting.Ensure readiness of backup systems and alternate communication paths.Legal and Security RequirementsApplicants must be legally allowed to work in the EU and hold a European citizenship.Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.Copy of passport and degree(s) certificate.Good conduct certificate from the country where currently resident.All potential employees will undergo stringent reference checks, in view of the nature of the work.ResponsibilitiesOversee ground network availability, configuration, and scheduling.Coordinate with ground stations and network service providers for link availability.Supervise the Ground Operations Engineers (GOEs).Ensure data integrity across telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) systems.Validate ground segment software updates and system maintenance activities.Manage configuration control of ground system elements (servers, interfaces, databases).Report on network performance metrics and outages.BenefitsCompetitive remuneration package, recognizing the value of your skills and expertise.Unique career opportunities, including the possibility of working in other countries with our SSC Group.Personalized training and development programmes.To be considered for this PositionPrior to**********, please apply via ourJob Application form.If not directly interested, feel free to share this job vacancy with your friends.Seniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Management and ManufacturingIndustries: Aviation & Aerospace#J-*****-Ljbffr
