Job description You will be a key contributor to SiC Technology volume ramp-up in ST. The work location will be in the new mass-production fab in Catania for the manufacturing of SiC substrate wafers, this facility will be a first of a kind in Europe for the production in volume of SiC epitaxial substrates, integrating all steps in the production flow.Strong link is maintained with STMicroelectronics Silicon Carbide AB, located in Norrköping, Sweden, with opportunities for on-site training and collaboration.STMicroelectronics Silicon Carbide AB, previously named Norstel AB, is the ST competence center in SiC material technology: the company has been developing silicon carbide for 20 years, first at Linköping University, and since **** in a dedicated production facility in Norrköping.Your main task will be to ensure a smooth transition between the R&D activities and the mass-production fab in particular with manufacturing facility installation and start-up: Prepare the specifications for the hook-up ( i.E. the connection to the facilities panel) of a set of manufacturing equipment Follow on the floor the equipment hook-up and installation Ensure that the hook-up and installation activities, carried out by contractor personnel, are compliant with specifications (including P&I, schematics and drawings), safety and environmental rules and any applicable STMicroelectronics standard and good practices.Contribute to on-time execution of hook-up and installation, with follow-up of daily works, highlighting any deviation versus the specifications and/or schedule Participate to commissioning tests to certify the compliance of the hook-up and installations during the commissioning stages of manufacturing equipment.Contribute to the collection of documentation related to commissioning Profile Candidates that best fit this role should have/be: (minimum) Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or Electronics Engineering (Preferred) Master degree in Automation and Robotics Engineering, Manufacturing engineering, with bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering (Preferred) Working experience in maintenance activities, best if in domains such as electro-medical equipment, industrial facilities equipment, chemical and gases facilities equipment (Preferred) Experience in companies specializing in the repair of electrical / electronic, electromechanical and instrumental components (vacuum pumps, radio frequency generators, robotics and automation) Able to read and understand electrical, mechanical and instrumental schematics.(Preferred)Knowledge of Autocad Great attention to details Very good analysis, problem solving, synthesis and reporting capabilities Good communication and documentation skills Good teamwork ability Ability to work by objectives Ability to train and involve technicians in continuous improvement programs Customer and service focused approach The Employment search is addressed to candidates of both genders, under Law n.125, as amended by Legislative Decree n.******** which guarantees gender equality at work.Position location Job location Europe, Italy, Catania Candidate criteria Education level required 4 - Bachelor degree Experience level required 2-5 years Languages English (2- Business fluent) Requester Desired start date 01/07/2024
