OverviewUTAC is a market-leading international group in digital & sustainable mobility, customisable testing solutions, customisable testing systems, vehicle engineering, homologation, regulatory advice & expertise, certification, training, corporate events and classic & sportscars festivals.The Group provides services and systems to customers in the mobility, transport, tyre, petrochemical, agriculture and defence industries.UTAC operates test centres and laboratories in France (including the official Euro NCAP facility), the UK, USA, Finland, Morocco, and Germany; it has subsidiaries in China, Korea and Japan.UTAC employs around **** people across its various locations.As a group we share a strong and clear vision to deliver safe and efficient solutions and systems to our customers.We are proud and confident in our heritage, our capabilities and our people and believe that by creating a culture where individuals feel they can make a difference and enjoy coming to work, we can deliver the best possible service to our customers.Our core values ofExpertise, InnovationandIntegrityprovide a clear daily guide to how we work together safely, as one team, helping each other to succeed.Job DescriptionThe Automotive Inspector is responsible for conducting conformity assessment activities to ensure compliance with the relevant standards and regulations.Working under the direct supervision of the Operation Manager (OM), the inspector plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and quality of our assessment processes.ResponsibilitiesConduct Conformity Assessments:Carry out conformity assessment activities upon receiving a specific assignment from the Operation Manager (OM).This includes following detailed procedures, instructions, checklists, and forms as mandated by the Quality Management System (QMS).Maintain Impartiality:Immediately report to the OM any potential threat to impartiality associated with the appointed activities, in accordance with the declaration signed at the time of acceptance.Document Deviations:Identify and formally document any deviations from the applicable requirements concerning the conformity assessment object, following QMS protocols.Prepare and Verify Documentation:Compile documents to present the results, complete checklists, and any other required documentation, ensuring to report evidence accurately.Deliver original documents to the OM for verification and, where necessary, approval before issuance.Authenticate Documentation:Sign off on the documentation that records results and certifies the responsibility for the content's editorial integrity and compilation.Equipment Maintenance:Oversee the preservation of measuring instruments and equipment provided by the Body, checking their calibration and operational status regularly.Professional Development:Participate in meetings, training sessions, and refresher courses as required to maintain and update qualifications.Adherence to QMS Documentation:Fulfil any other responsibilities defined within the QMS documentation that have not been specified herein.Additional ResponsibilitiesContinuous Improvement:Suggest improvements to the conformity assessment processes based on findings and experiences to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Stakeholder Communication:Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including clients and suppliers, to clarify requirements, report findings, and ensure compliance.Risk Management:Participate in risk assessment activities related to the conformity assessment processes, helping to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks.Regulatory Awareness:Stay informed about changes in industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure all assessment activities are up-to-date.QualificationsHigh school diplomawith a technical address, preferably in the mechanical or electronic areas, or a first or second level degree in technical or scientific disciplines.Where the sector provides for the verification or evaluation of the manufacturer's projects, at least a university degree or a bachelor's degree is required.Proficiency in English language.#J-*****-Ljbffr
