Description We are seeking a Construction Director provide leadership in the delivery of this highly technological project.You will oversee and ensure the delivery of this unique structure to schedule, budget and quality targets, and working with the Contractor, develop construction methods, systems and processes to allow safe, timely and efficient construction of this unique structure.You will provide guidance and clear direction to your team, even when faced with the most nuanced of obstacles.We are targeting accomplished industry experts; in possession of a collaborative attitude and proven leadership capability.Key Responsibilities · Working closely with the Project Director and Client to develop the program's vision and delivery strategy.· Leading the development of construction plans, schedules, and budget for all works assigned to your team.· Overseeing all aspects of construction operations, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, within schedule and budget whilst maintaining the highest standard of safety and quality.· Providing technical expertise and guidance on all construction methodologies, collaborating with the relevant engineering teams to ensure that designs result in structurally sound outcome.· Responsible for the overall construction delivery of the program including safety, quality, and Parsons staff performance.· Effectively managing all construction resource; including workforce planning, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.· Proactive leadership and management of the relevant stakeholders to the construction department.· Managing department budgets, procurement strategies and cashflow.· Mentoring and leading employees fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.· Interfacing with and informing the Client, and their stakeholders, on all construction related issues.Required Skills · 25+ years of experience in the engineering and construction industry, possessing a minimum 10+ years of experience within a similar type and scale of project.· Extensive experience in the construction delivery on international infrastructure projects; experience related to major bridges is a pre-requisite; experience of suspension bridge projects is highly desirable.· Clear experience in handling public contracts and a defined comprehension of relevant Italian legislation.· Proven record of accomplishment in an executive role on major Infrastructure Construction Projects.· University bachelor's degree in engineering or similar field required.· Chartered engineer from an international recognized institution.· Proven stakeholder management skills to c-suite and national representation levels e.g., Minister level interactions.· Strong business acumen and the ability to make well-informed decisions based on data and analysis.· Fluent in English, Italian language highly desirable.Desired Skills · Project Management or Construction Management certification or registration Parsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.We truly invest and care about our employee's wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the starsImagine next and join the Parsons quest—APPLY TODAYParsons is aware of fraudulent recruitment practices.To learn more about recruitment fraud and how to report it, please refer to.
