Data Center Operations (DCO), Data Center Ops Job ID: ******* | Amazon Data Services, Inc.AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running.We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Key Job ResponsibilitiesWork as part of the Operations team, maintaining the data center infrastructure.Perform server rack installation, hardware break-fix, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to emergent situations that affect operational stability.Meet SLAs against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow, acting as the first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues.Perform on-call duties, handle scheduled maintenance, and change management activities that require monitoring of the data center infrastructure.Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and to discuss achieving daily/weekly goals.Apply knowledge of policies and procedures, including safety and security, within the department.Document technical issues through root cause analysis and contribute to process improvement initiatives.Assist in training less experienced team members (as experience grows).A Day in the LifeSupport DC infrastructure equipment (racks, servers, networking devices, hardware components, cables).Follow ticket-based environment instructions and systematically resolve problems, performing routine operations such as rack install, server break/fix, rack decommissioning.Perform on-call duties and participate in Data Center operations, scheduling maintenance and monitoring infrastructure.Show strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.Maintain site management and operational area tidiness.Cover 24×7 shift rotation.About the TeamWe value diverse experiences, work/life balance, inclusive culture, and mentorship and career growth.Our team fosters collaboration and continuous innovation through flexibility and community engagement.Basic Qualifications2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.1+ year of computer networking experience.High school or equivalent diploma.Preferred QualificationsExperience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.Amazon is an equal-opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation, please visit the Amazon accommodations page.The base salary range for this position is listed below.Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.Learn more about our benefits.USA, OR, Hermiston – ************* USD hourly#J-*****-Ljbffr
