And that's where you come in.AccountabilitiesTechnical coordination of design teams during complete project lifecycle from bid to delivery and vehicle qualification phasesPreparation of project design documents for bid or projectsDefinition and management of design reviews with design teams or customersPreparation of project documentation such as engineering plans and design review reportsManagement of project KPI and Open Items by means of structured templatesEngineering representation during cross functional meetings with Project Managers, procurements and manufacturing departments during complete project lifecycleCoordination of testing activities with related department in order to manage the complete validation of the projectRequired Skills/ KnowledgePreferred past experience in Railway or other similar Industry sectors projectsKnowledge of the basic concepts of the RAMS disciplines is an advantage.Knowledge of the main regulations relating to on-board systems in the railway businessKnowledge of the main office automation software/tools (Word, Excel, Poer Point etc.)Knowledge of system engineering processes and the main regulations in the railway field is required, in order to manage, throughout the life cycle of the product and with an interdisciplinary approach, the design activities, development and functional integration of the subsystems of railway vehicle platforms, with particular reference to the topics of architecture, functions and performances, from the design phase to the final validation phase.Recommended knowledge of electrical/mechanical design software (Autocad, Creo, Catia, etc.)Recommended knowledge of the IBM DOORS requirements management tool.Recommended knowledge of Engineering Processes and Railway Operations.Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation, with the aptitude to contribute with constructive and practical ideas.Readiness to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multitasking international environment.Ability to work autonomously in teams and for projects is required.Availability for short-term national and international business trip.Desired Skills/ KnowledgeAbility to manage and plan the assigned tasks independently and team-working.Ability to analyze business requirements, problem-solving attitude and business process analysis.Ability to face with the different internal functions (internal customer) and external (suppliers, customers, partners).Planning and organization.Versatile in learning and strong desire to remain up-to-date with changes in technology and best industry practices.Strong business acumen & technical skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Attitude to work in an international and multi-cultural reality.Education / QualificationsDegree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Vehicle Transportation Engineering or equivalentLanguagesGood knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory.English language knowledge on at least international C1 levelThank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
