Site Reliability Engineer, Region Services Job ID: ******* | AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch)Amazon Web Services (AWS) builds and operates some of the largest internet infrastructure on the planet; providing companies of all sizes with an infrastructure web services platform in the cloud.To meet the growing demand for AWS Services around the globe, we need exceptionally motivated people who are driven by learning and innovation.OverviewAs the Systems Development Engineer for a new team pioneering automated build and deployment of Windows based services, you will adopt a code-first and hands-off CI/CD approach to drive operational excellence and cross-environment parity.This role involves building Ansible based Infrastructure as Code as well as custom integrations with existing and new Windows services.Key Job ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain Ansible based Infrastructure as Code for Windows services.Integrate custom solutions with existing Windows services to support automated build and deployment pipelines.Adopt a code-first approach to drive operational excellence and ensure cross-environment parity.Collaborate with a dynamic team to design, build, own, and run services in a high-growth environment.Design and build tools and utilities that are part of the AWS fleet running internal services.Basic QualificationsKnowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).Professional software development experience (non-internship).Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling).Hands-on experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and systems engineering.Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Ansible (preferred), PowerShell, or JavaScript/TypeScript.Why AWS?AWS values diverse experiences and encourages candidates to apply even if they do not meet all preferred qualifications.We provide a culture of mentorship, career growth, and work/life balance to help you develop into a well-rounded professional.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-*****-Ljbffr
